Amp Power cable through the firewall

I have a 2022 xlt. Would you by chance have any pictures of either side of the gasket you are speaking about?

I thought I took photos but now I can't find them. I'll head outside after my meetings and see if I can get a photo.

If you pull the passenger front wheel well liner there is a grommet that is a straight shot into the cab. Thats how i ran the power cable for my amps. It was super easy and i didnt have to fight any other wires.

Member on here made this video, really doesn't get any easier than this.

You can reach the clips on the back of the fender vent through the engine bay to remove them. Once they are off you can pull the vent off. You can easily access the grommet that feeds into the cab and access the engine bay to feed the wire from the battery through the vent opening. I chose to use the passenger side and mounted my kicker Key behind the glove box, super easy .

It’s not conducive to a photo, but the nipple you’re trying to use is the black circular area. The photo is taken pointing down towards the fire wall.
The wire enters below and right of that.

Great, did you push the wire from the cab or the engine? Also, was that grommet already being used? Or was it just a plug?

I went in through the same grommet as you. My son in law had to wiggle in down the pass floor board to find the wire and pull it into the cable. I then lubed the power wire and pulled through. I ended up pulling several wires through the same hole and lube helped. Zero electrical issues.

I have seen a lot of folks saying they used this location but it seems to be difficult to find the fish from the engine compartment

I went to the hardware store and bought a small diameter aluminum tube, about a 1/4 inch diameter. I think it was about 10 inches long. I cut the the end of the tube at a sharp angle so it would cut through the second grommet. Once I popped through I ran a 18 awg wire through the tube and looked for the wire inside. Once I found the wire I removed the aluminum tube leaving just the wire passing through the grommets. I attached my power wire to the 18 awg, lubed the wire with soap, and pulled it through.

Where did the cable fall? I was able to push through the second grommet wall. It can’t see the hanger under the dash

Oh, awesome. Is there a hole in that grommet already or do I need to cut a slit? I have to figure how to get my big hand down there lol

I was somewhere high up behind the glove box. I kept pushing wire until in eventually fell down to where I could see it.
