3D Printed Tweeter Mount

I have a non-B/O 7 speaker 302a. Bought a set of Kicker KS components and needed to mount the tweeter. Didn't want to super glue anything, so modeled a mount that holds the tweeter snuggly and fits the factory mount location if anyone is interested.

I printed it in black ASA and used some foam tape to seal the edges. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures, but it's a near perfect fit.

That is sweet. Have you thought about making g an external pod to repoint the tweeters into the cab’s interior?

I would probably just buy the B/O a-pillar and replace that tweeter. I want it to be as factory looking as possible

I looked into doing just that. The problem is that the B/O a-pillar does not come in a matching color for the XLTs, at least in "black". The XLT Sport package black is not the same as the Lariat black.

I looked into doing just that. The problem is that the B/O a-pillar does not come in a matching color for the XLTs, at least in "black". The XLT Sport package black is not the same as the Lariat black.

I wanted to test this out, so I ordered both ML3Z-1503598-CA and ML3Z-1503599-CA. It has the more directed tweeter, I held it up while in the car and I'm not sure I noticed a color difference. I did pull mine out to see and only then could I really see a difference.

It also gave me an opportunity to get a picture of the tweeter mounted.

Did you reuse same 3D mounts in the new A pillars? Are they needed?

Just got these in from Ford parts used my Ford Rewards points. They showed up in one day! Looks spot on to the OG color of my STX pillars @TexasTruck. To my surprise they came with the stock tweeters install. Looking forward to getting these install when the rest of my system gets delivered!

Really?!?! Dude! They look great!!! Thanks for following up here! I know some others who are interested too! 10/4 on the tweeters, like you I wanted to project them more at the cab than the windshield… thanks again!

Thanks for sharing this. Just what I was looking for!

Any chance you could give some guidance on how you installed the crossover blocks? I have the kicker cs and have not installed the tweeters yet because I'm not sure the best route for wiring these in with the crossovers.
