Swap went well but we had to do it twice. The first set had splits in the boots from the factory. Ford sent us a new set no problem.

I do not know of a thread on the swap. It is straight forward IF your truck has the electric hubs. Tremor axles will not work with vacuum activated hubs.


I’m not sure when Ford switched over and I don’t know if you can change vacuum activated to electric.

Thank you Sir. That was my understanding. Either way, I built it for ME and only learned of the term "Bubba Truck after the fact.

The fuel economy of my 2025 with the 5.3 engine is already terrible. No reason to make it any worse. If I was putting a lot of miles on the truck I would have gone with a Maverick pickup.

While I think your truck is perfect, I don’t think of those tires as big. Bigger? Yes. I suppose it’s subjective, but big stance and big attitude are not what I would like for myself.
I would not like to hear my truck described as a ‘bubba truck’ lol.
