So, I'm looking at buying some 2019 Platinum stocks for my 24 RCSB. I have literally never changed the stock wheels off any of my vehicles.

I may sound like an idiot, but what does one have to do before putting these on my truck? Balancing? The lugs off my truck should work correct? The tires on the wheels aren't excessively big, so I don't think rubbing will be a problem.

Anything else I should consider? Thank you.

Yes, the stock lug nuts will work but ONLY because you're using nuts from an aluminum wheel and replacing it with another aluminum wheel. Do you know the wheel specs from the 2019 Platinum wheels ? I swapped my stock wheels (same as yours 17x7.5 +44 offset) to black STX wheels that are 20x8.5 with a +44 offset and have zero issues (see my mods in sig). I don't see a need to have them balanced, since they are already balanced.

Are you getting a wheel and tire set? Sounds like you are, so you shouldn't need to balance anything unless the tire pressure sensors were removed. Lots of people swap them over to their new set. So verify that
If they don't have the sensors, you'll have to have yours installed or buy some to have installed. This will require professional installation and rebalancing the wheels
If they come with sensors installed, you'll need the tool to have the truck relearn the new sensors. This can be sourced from Amazon, around $20 if I recall or have your dealer do it, but they'll change quite a bit more

Yes your lug nuts will work with any OEM aluminum wheel but the stock 2 piece lug nuts are terrible. Now would be a good time to upgrade

The TPMS would be the only issue I see.

The 2024 MY changed to 433mhz where before they were 315mhz. If the Platinum wheels come with OEM TPMS the TPMS will not work with your 2024.

This is the OEM TPMS part number for 2024 and up. I changed my 24 to Tremor wheels and this is the part number I used. I found a brand new set of 4 at $50 on eBay (link provided below)

Had them on the truck for over a year with no probs. RockAuto.com and Tasca had them for $50~ each so a set of 4 at $50-$55 seemed like a no brainer.

I have the same wheels (from a 2015 platinum) with 275/55R20's - no issues at all. I had the tire shop retain the lug nuts, center caps and TMPS sensors from the factory wheels to avoid any frequency change issues. They will need to dismount the factory tires to remove the TMPS sensors which was an extra $32, but in my case I sold the original tires to offset the cost (and make storing the alloy wheels easier in case I ever decide to go the other way with big tires, small wheels).

I also updated the speedo calibration with Forscan. I set this value:
726-15-02 | 9Exx xxxx xxxx | (Orignal value: 88)

I want to say the overall size difference was only 1-2% so the calibration is not strictly required.

TPMS swap from your factory wheels, rolling diameter may require a change in the BCM which is easier to do so your speedo still aligns. Running factory tire size you can simple input another trim's factory value (it's simply the tire diameter converted to rolling diameter via multiplying by .967). Well documented on here.

Your truck is almost exactly what mine will look like beside the chrome mirror caps.

How much were your wheels?

Thank you to everybody.

What will happen if I don't put TPMS on them? Will it cause my truck to show an alert everytime I get in?

I think you will get the 'low tire pressure' light on permanently.

I paid $700 for a set in good condition (a few scratches, no rash) but the tires were shot.

That's about what I'm looking at paying. I haven't physically seen them yet, but Im hoping they're as nice as the pictures.

Picked them up today. There's a few scratches on them, but for the age, they're about as good as they get. May try to get them put on tomorrow.

Nearly every stock wheel whith a 20+ diameter are +44 offset

Sometimes, even with OEM, you need spline nuts as the ones on the truck don't fit the recesses, but I doubt that's the case here.

Ive also never had an issue with 2015+ tpms on any trucks later generations.

My experience has always been 315 mhz earlier than 2015, 433 after. I'd look a little further so to not waste $ on tpms, unless you want to anyway since they usually have a lifespan of 10yrs battery.

I change wheels OFTEN
