Doing updates for the first time starting today. Got a 20 amp charger with 12v power supply feature, a notebook PC with all the power options/AV turned off so it doesn't go to sleep or scan files, got a 128Gb USB formatted correctly, downloaded FDRS 44.4.6, Mongoose cable and drivers loaded and FDRS see it. Going to start in order with GWM, APIM, TCU, IPMA and move on down my list. Thanks Rudedraw for all the info these past few months. Wish me luck...
No GWM update, must be on the latest one, just got the APIM updated (1.5 hours), now on the TCU module update. Already got the turn off and wait 10 mins for the TCU update.

Is there anything I need to after getting all my updates are done to enable BC 1.4? I thought I saw somewhere that I need to go into Forscan and make a change. Is that still correct?

Is there anything I need to after getting all my updates are done to enable BC 1.4? I thought I saw somewhere that I need to go into Forscan and make a change. Is that still correct?
Yes, there's forscan changes to make. Direct message @rugedraw and he'll share them with you.

PSCM Complete, now CMR Update....
Successfully updated all modules today except the BCM because of password requirements. ACM is still showing up with "RUN" on the update, but already did it.
Finally have my truck software update to date. Started at 10:45am and finished at 7:30pm. 21 total modules. Tomorrow I will apply the Forscan changes to get BC 1.4 setup. Overall very happy with the entire process. I took my time and made sure I followed the prompts. Glad I had the 12v/20amp Power supply running all day. Lots of power cycles to get all these module updated. Special thanks to Rugedraw for all the help these past months. U THE MAN!
Note: Instead of sitting in a hot garage all day I put one of the house cameras pointed at my notebook screen and monitored it from inside my cool house. My garage was 95 deg all day today. I think next time I will put the camera inside the truck and use teamviewer on my notebook. Work smarter, not harder! Had two USB sticks 64gb (sandisk ultra USB 3.0 & 128gb sandisk Cruzer glide) the 64b USB gave me an error and I ended up using the 128Gb (format after each update). Glad I had two USB sticks. Here is the start/stop times for each module:

Chrome Remote Desktop will probably provide a better experience. If you have a webcam on the laptop you can point it at the APIM screen. Then via CRD you can see the FDRS screen and via webcam see the APIm to know when USB updates are done.

Just installed FORscan and Windows 11 blocked FORscan protected folder access. Any issues if folder access is blocked? I prefer to keep the access blocked.

Ok, I did the Forscan changes to add BC 1.4 to APIM and IPMA that Rugedraw gave me, but now my DRL don't come on when I start my truck. Has anyone ran into this? I've compared the as-built before file to the after 706 IPMA and Block 29 has a lot of changes. I didn't touch that block.

They don't come on when in gear I just checked. My DRL use to be on when truck was running in park. When I open the door to get in the truck they light up. All the lights work I just checked. Remote start, unlock the doors, open the door, put the headlights on or parking lights everything works. It seems like when the is in gear they go out. I did 21 modules update yesterday and I can't say for 100% if DRL was working yesterday. I have the light switch in the off position and I did the forscan hack last year for last known position. Checked Forscan and no DTC.

You just might need a few key starts for all changes to take.

I'm stumped on that, I have a 21 Lariat that I fully updated with FDRS 3 weeks ago. Sans the BCM. I just set a mirror in front of my garage and there definitely only on when in any gear except park. During remote start using the fob they do not come on either.
