I haven’t driven my truck in maybe about 5-6 days and this morning I got the “remote features disabled” message on the App. Less than a month with my Costco H8 battery. I think my dash cam parking mode may have affected it so I turned that feature off.
Next step is a Noco Genius 5 to leave on the truck I guess. Very disappointed.
Our trucks have been compared to rolling I-Pads. The truck is constantly talking to the mothership. I have a Walmart H-8 and I have a Noco genius 10 that if I am not going to use the truck for 5 days or more I will put the maintainer on and leave it. It’s not the fault of the battery and if you have a higher current draw, then that will drain your battery.

This is the longest it’s sat for since the new battery. I took it apart to build a harness for the paddle shifters (raptor wheel) and then my work week came so it just sat. I don’t like having to leave it plugged in but I guess with that many fancy features it’s going to be a requirement.

If you had a drain on the battery outside of the Ford planned drain, then you'll eventually get this. Turn off any drains other than the stock system. I went three weeks with the truck shutdown without problem on an H-7 NAPA Battery.

I can’t think of anything else that would be a drain. The dash camera is the only thing that takes power without ignition on.

Don't blame the battery if you have an additional drain on it. Find out the amperage of the dash camera. It might be trivial but might not.

Not blaming the battery. Just curious as to how fast this larger battery already got drained to a point of preservation. The dash camera SHOULD detect a low voltage and deactivate but I have no way of knowing if that actually works.

Detecting a low voltage is likely set down around 11 VDC. This will already be below your other alerts from the truck itself. Find out what its engine off current amperage is. That'll tell you whether its the problem. I installed a PWM LED backlight source. Its connected engine on or off. I've forgotten to turn it off a few times and it has not triggered any alerts after one or two days. So the drain makes a difference.

There’s 2 options. Under 11.6V and under 12.0V. I’ve just set it to 12 and turned off the parking mode. I’ll see if that helps.

I know it has only been 2 week but the Wally World h8 battery has worked great. No low Battery warning or power Save mode crap. Worth the investment. Really disappointed in the Q/C and Ford focus on saving a nickel vs. putting the right parts in in the first place.

Been having no issues with my battery that I got in April from Costco aside from one low power mode time. This morning after not driving it only one day, my truck won’t start. I hooked up my Noco battery boost and it started right up. No low power mode, just when you actually go to start everything just powers down.

I do not have anything wired to the battery so everything go through the BMS. I have made zero changes to the truck since swapping out the factory battery. I’m going to take it to Costco for a refund and going to try the Walmart battery now. Very disappointed and worrisome since had I taken my truck somewhere I’d have been stranded.

If you are using a maintainer, make sure you watch this video and wire it in correctly on the lead to the negative terminal vs. on the negative post. I typically drive my F150 - 3 days a week and my other vehicles 1 or 2 days a week. (depending on weather) No issues. I also have the Noco Battery conditioners plugged in.

When i got my used 21 in March, it initially would give me a random low battery message. The battery is a Motorcraft and it is 2 years old. I immediately began thinking i would replace the dealer H 6 with a Walmart H 8. Then once i began driving the truck daily, the message went away as well as, some dtc’s. I am going to milk this one a little longer. Its at an airport right now and will be there for 7 days like it was last month without any issues. These trucks can be strange!

No maintainer yet. My motorcraft battery that I replaced with this one wasn’t even this bad and it’s nearly 3 years old. I feel I got a bad battery and have zero confidence in this battery now.

Costco battery was reading 10.93v in the truck. My Motorcraft battery that’s been out of my truck since I got the new one was at 12.45v.

I returned the Costco Battery. Sadly got boned with the core fee since I returned an old battery and now I won’t have a spare battery for core fee. Gonna try the ever start from Walmart. Better warranty as well.
