Bought my 1st car three days before I turned 15. So in the last 43 years, I have NEVER had anyone change my oil. I’ve always enjoyed doing it myself.

You can do it yourself and use AMSOIL for less than 120.

Oil and Filter, Ford products, every 5K about 50 bucks. I had the Fumoto on my 2 cars, took it off took to long to drain. Yes I know, I have no patience.

Be nice if the Ford Pass app had a maintenance tracking feature.

Yes, not only because I can ensure it is done correctly, but because I fear others may ding, scuff, or damage something while working on and moving the vehicle. No thanks!

How are they different?
I enter the data and not the dealer.
Dealer can keep track of my in shop services and warranty claims but I keep track of my windshield wiper changes, when I change the oil and brake services etc..
Not all owners rely on dealers for their services.

Hmm I just changed my oil and filter, cabin filter, air filter and was able to enter all of that data myself. Im not arguing with you, just trying to figure out if I am missing something.

You entered it on the Ford Pass app? Maybe I’m missing something?

EDIT; NOW I see it. Nevermind.

My buddy owns a shop. I just pay him to change the oil, etc. $70.

I keep a small notebook in the glove box for all maintenance and repair records. Date, mileage, service detail. Never bothered with entering stuff in any manufacture app. This simple method has never failed me, and I can easily go back to see when something was done. When I sell my near mint looking and driving vehicle in 10, 15, 20 years there's never been a question if maintenance has been carried out. The condition of the vehicle speaks for itself. If it is sold to a private buyer they even get the log book.
