You are correct, my truck does not have rain sensing.I have rain sensing, which again yours appears to have
FWIW on my 22 XLT this is the SCCM that I ended up using. My truck did not have rain sensing or telescopic so all I needed to do was swap the stalks and remove the button. Also I carried over the LH switch assembly from my original "non heated" steering wheel to my new HSW. Everything worked perfectly. The only thing I'm seeing is a DTC in Forscan looking for a connection to the new SCCM for the button and I can live with that. All this was completed over the weekend. No issues. That sure looks identical to the ML3Z-3F791-BB I’ve gotten and for a whole lot less. What can explain the radical price difference?
It’s fairly easy to add the rain sensor and make it functional. I did this with my 22 Lariat. Only needYou are correct, my truck does not have rain sensing.
I did not even notice the very tiny A at the 0 mark on the part received. I had to go out to my truck and compare them side by side to even notice that!
What is different I have no Idea except 130 $ less!
Plus I don't get ford and their part numbers, they are very confusing, I am more used to Mercedes numbers which are a lot easier to understand. They all start with the chassis number unless it is a part used across many chassises. Begins with a 163- it is for a 1998-2005 ml, 230- is for an2001 -2011 SL convertible. Then revision, sub group, part in that sub group.
One part I ordered for the mirror repair is totally wrong I don't even see a part like it on my mirror, yet I swear I order the right one! I got to figure the one out. It is the filler piece the puddle light snaps into.

Windshield Rain Sensor Module and Forscan change.
Part #: LU5Z17D547B.
Yes, just one connector behind the mirror. Take a look at this post. Thanks for pointing this out.
Since I am 1/2 way there part wise I will probably take this on..
Aside from the sensor was all the wiring there for you? Since I have an xlt I will need to look at mine of course.
If you scroll back and look at my experience you'll see that if you change the wheel the new one will most likely have a different left switch that incorporates Adaptive Cruise and Lane Keeping. If your truck did not originally have that it won't work. You can swap out your old switch? Did you save your original SCCM files and replace that module?I installed the HSW. I’m having an issue getting the buttons on the cruise control (left) side to work. None of them work.
Has anyone run into this problem before?

Swapping the switch is plan C. I checked wiring, and programming.
