Squeak/Chirp going in to electric mode

I believe I’m having a similar issue - I recorded a video of the sound I get when the engine cycles.
Is this the same sound you all are hearing?

I know this is an old post but from what I have found the squeak/ chirp noise is from an exhaust flange that gets torqued when the engine either shuts down or starts back up again... It can be duplicated while driving or at a parked position (although its much harder to duplicate when parked)

This squeak just started on my 2023 PB after one year and 9K miles. Guess I’ll try my luck with the dealer. Glad I wasn’t imagining it.

The dealerships are a pain to deal with. It's a fight to get them to diagnose things. Same issue as you. Not sure if I just sell this truck already and move on or argue with dealership.

Actually, the dealership I took mine to were very responsive and helpful. I showed them the video, they replicated the issue, they diagnosed the problem (as per the rest of this thread), and they have ordered the part … all of which will be covered by the warranty.

So I have no complaints whatsoever.

My dealer is: Keyser & Miller Ford in Collegeville , PA, btw.

There is another thread started with the same noise.. I don't think its just on power boost 3.5 engine..i have a new 24 3.5 with only 2500 miles on it and it has made the noise on shut down and start up from day one.. i just don't feel like going to dealer with this issue at this time so I'm letting it ride.

Call Ford USA and speak to them directly if you are having issues with this and no help from the dealership.

I made sure to try and get the rep to tell me that hearing an annoying squeak on and off during traffic was how Ford designed their best selling truck. They should help you escalate the issue. Hopefully Ford USA can update their customer satisfaction bulletin and include the squeak not just the failure of the heat exchanger so we can help other owners with the same issue.

well i was doing some FDRS updates to my truck tonight and decided to mess around and find the noise. seemed like it was the actuation arms on the waste gates making the noise so i got out the WD40 and a long straw and lubed up all 3 pivot points on both sides. start truck up and no noise. . shut truck down no noise. went for drive and still no noise on shut down... i have an appointment on Friday for service but now the noise is gone... i guess i need to cancel now... wondering if someone else wants to give this a try to verify its the waste gates on their truck.
