If you sell or trade in the truck, the subscription is gone. It follows no one (not you, not the new owner) nor does it follow the truck itself. No, you don't get to transfer it to your new truck, either.
Not true. I activated mine on my used truck as have many others. Mine is good for the 3 yr trial period, so is the connected nav.

Thanks. This is the first time in nearly 3 years I have heard this. I wonder if they changed the policy.

I edited my original post to reflect this.

I bought my truck used with 23k miles from a CJDR dealer back in Jan '22. I just added the truck to my FordPass app and activated everything from there. Was no issue for me. Lots of guys in the facebook groups doing the same.

It sounds like the BlueCruise or Connected Navigation stays with the VIN. Nice to know, but sucks if you have an F150 and trade to another.

I would prefer, similar to your phone or satellite radio that you transfer the service to a new device.

Now I'm confused.

If you re-activated an EXISTING BlueCruise subscription in JAN of 2022 on your current truck, what vehicle did you originally purchase it for?

Or are you trying to say that you added the used truck to your Fordpass, and it showed up with an active subscription that the previous owner paid for?

It's the original 3 yr trial. I said that in the first post. I activated it for myself when I bought the truck used in Jan '22.

All 21-23s came with 3 yr trial if they were equipped with BlueCruise. No need to purchase....yet.

I have never heard of a 3-year trial. My 2021 only had a 1-year trial for BlueCruise.

Sorry, I missed that. Yes, that one should stay with the truck.

However, from what I've seen over the years, if you have paid for a subscription (after a trial period) and you sell the vehicle, it doesn't stay with the truck or with you.

I don't recall all the different options, but some came with a 90 day, some with a 1 year, and some with a 3 year. Pretty sure it was paid for somewhere in one of the options.

My truck is a '22. Original owner bought it in Apr '22. I bought it in Jan ''23. BlueCruise good to Apr '25

Yup. Even though yours is three years, it's still showing as a "trial". I thought you had paid for it, then swapped the truck for another truck.

Yea, I could see that happening.

When mwf5888 mentioned his '3yr subscription' I just assumed he meant the original trial.

Ford did some strange changes with the trial period durations for Bluecruise. If I recall correctly below are the original trial length for BC for each model year.

2021 - 1 Year
2022 - 3 Year
2023 - 90 Day
2024 - 90 Day

I have heard though that after the trial period ended for some people, that their BC trial length was increased or extended.... but it was kind of scattered between model years! it was strange especially when some people were paying for BC subscriptions.

Anyone towing with BC4? I've tried with my 22 PB with I assume 1.0 and it's tried to KILL me every time with the induced trailer sway with the way BC drives drunk between the lines. It's been terrifying.

I'd even pay for BC if I could actually use it while towing.
