I lowered the coil perches by 20mm. This lowered the fender to tire gap by about 40mm or so. The difference is NIGHT AND DAY. I did not think it would be so dramatic.
Did a 800 mile road trip this weekend and it was a dream, exactly what I was looking for. The Load Range C tires are also amazing, the combo is a very very smooth and supply ride that firms up in the turns and braking.
That said, I will be lowering them another 5mm because I did still get one top out on the trip after hitting a big bump at 75mph. I think 5mm will be perfect.
In the end, I think I will end up about 1.5"-1.75", and that will be the maximum level possible without destroying the ride.
