Installed a 2015-2020 Fox "Tuned By Ford" Level kit on my 2024 F150 XLT Supercrew Powerboost this weekend. I did the 2015 kit per recommendations on the forum and from a forum sponsor. I wanted a way firmer ride, with a bit more clearance up front for 285/70R18 tires, and my last truck had Ford tuned Fox coilovers too. The Install went easily, little annoying getting under the high voltage cables, but only took about 2.5 hours (I followed the Stage3 video), didn't remove axles.

However... it seems WAY high. I know that the suspension is supposed to settle, but how much should I expect? I now have some mild reverse rake withnothing but my 150lb rooftop tent.

I stupidly did not do a fender to floor measurement before the install to see the actual increase, but multiple people have said it looks high and from pics, it seems very high. I tightened the UCA bushings at static ride height. I did not loosen the lowers.

Any comments or ideas? The pic makes it look lower. On flat level ground, there is more wheel gap up front now. Have about 50 miles on it.

I didn't think that kit was right for a 21'-23' let alone a 24'

They look to be easily adjustable, so why not just thread the spring nut down until you get it to where you want it...If it were me I would set the front 1" lower than your rear gap to make it look the best. Most perfectly level trucks still look to be front high to me. You need a slight rake to make it 'appear' level to the eye.

Easy fix... get the front end off the ground get a spanner wrench and adjust the large black nut down to your desired height

Yes they are adjustable for ride height, but why have I not found any reference to people needing to lower the ride height? Advertised gain is 1.75-2" with the 2015 kit, that's without needing to adjust the spring height.

I also do not want to adjust the ride height twice, so that's why I'm wondering how much settling someone can expect. As of right now, I would need to drop over 1" on the shock body, and that is near the extreme and isn't ideal for dampening.

Entirely possible that I am overreacting and it's where it should be.

PS. Yes, hooked up my swaybar links when I tightened down the control arm bushings. Definitely can see how someone could forget that!

I’ve got the Eibach’s adjustable coil overs and they didn’t settle much if any.
Welcome to the joys of suspension setup.

If you feel like counting threads lol. Here’s the highest setting my shop wanted to go to not stress the CV’s excessively

Thank you. This was really helpful. You are the first example I've found of someone lowering the spring collar. You look to be between 1/2" and 3/4" lower than mine, I'll literally count threads today.

Did you notice it settle further after your install? Got a pic of your setup? My alignment was way off after my install so I had to go get aligned immediately due to amount of driving.

I should have adjusted the ride height first, but I've seen situations where things dropped 3/4" over 500 miles so I didn't want it to over do it.

I added another pic up top and here. That is with 160 pounds of OEM tires and about 175 pounds in rooftop tent and rack. So about 335lbs in the back, which is a normal daily driving amount.

stance looks on point to me IMO. I'd give it a few hundred miles before messing with it, if at all.

Alignment is a must, did mine at the same time as suspension install. Ride height settling was negligible from what I remember (maybe 1/4”). Ride height in the rear is very slightly higher than front, and pretty much level or slightly lower in rear with my gear in the back. Hopefully these pics help a little (pics with the tent is probably 300-350lbs in the back)

I would like the front about a half inch higher, but I’m planning on upgrading to Fox 2.5’s soon and I’ll tackle that then.

Adjusting the spanner nut is a pretty basic part of setting up a coil over, it's possible no one even talks about it. I also wouldn't trust that they all ship set to the same position.

I just did the Fox 2.5’s but they adjust from the top so not much help there. I haven’t noticed much settling but the Powerboost is heavier in the front so it should help . Doesn’t look bad in your second set of pictures though

Update: I will be dropping the coils down by over an inch today. The ride quality is absolute crap. I'm topping out over bumps and dips. If I hadn't found other examples of people with the same comments, I'd rip them off the truck right now.

But sounds like lowering them to gain some more shock travel seems to fix this.
