I have already informed my sales guy, I want NO BS with my sale. Zero Dealer addons, like nitrogen in tires, VIN etching, tire and brake plans, or other crap like that. I am going to bring a check for our agreed on amount and walk out the door with the key and drive away.

I am not going to wait for months only to be hassled at the time of sale.
That's the energy I'll have on that day too. Lol. Give me my truck, here's the money. Bye. Don't try to sell me anything extra. Anything extra that I do need, I'll get it somewhere else.

I don't believe that any other dealers would have any more info than what you are getting today. They just don't have the answers from Ford.
While this may be true, some dealers might just be worse at communicating, both with customers and with Ford HQ.

My dealer played dumb on the visibility report until I more or less told him I was already getting it on the forums. They've contacted Ford HQ a couple times on my behalf and haven't been able to even confirm that that my truck is sitting in a lot waiting on parts. My truck was built 3/17... it is clearly sitting in a lot incomplete, however my dealer is unable to confirm even that with Ford.

I've seen other posts on this forum about dealers being able to see something called an "open trace" on the truck, which breaks the statuses down even further to the actual part the truck is currently waiting on. And other posts that claim dealers were able to at least confirm with Ford HQ that a truck is sitting in a lot incomplete. My dealer had no idea what an open trace was and was unable to confirm anything with Ford HQ.

It's possible that the aforementioned posts were bullshit or otherwise mistaken/exaggerated. But my interactions with my dealer don't give any indication that they are on top of their game anyway.

I told him to push back with Ford. Ask the obvious questions. I've decided to give up on speaking to the dealer about updates since they are at the mercy of Ford. What's the point of having a Ford regional rep? Speaking to the dealer did nothing but frustrate me so I'll just focus on saving up for my mods.
Did you try the customer service line? I bet it’s the same crap there

No. I'm a laid back goofy guy, so when I get upset I really hate it. Lol. I've decided to just sit back, relax, save up for mods, and come up with cool custom ideas. I'm able to get updates on my Ford via the Blue Oval Forum when I feel the urge for an update.

There's a user giving updates over there?

Okay every day is a new day!!.. i just took my 2018 Honda Odyessy (lease is finished January 2022) for an oil change, and whil it was there, the sales manager comes out BEGGING me to buy my van back! he said just give me the keys, take your plates, we will discharge the lease 7 months ahead. I told him, i need my F150 to arrive (as the F150 was intended to replace the van).

Called up my dealer and here is the screen shot!.. Still shows May10th, Ramp 59, Pending up date.. Window sticker is alive. they confirmed tons of F150's had their dates pushed to Aug/Sept, but for some reason mine is still show the old dates so there is hope.

NOw i need the F150 more than ever since i have an RV just waiting to be picked up and now i can get out of my lease on my Odyessy and save over $5K in payments!

I asked my dealer for the "visibility report" today and he had it to me within minutes.
All it shows is that my truck is "in storage".
The ETA of May 19 still has not changed on the useless Ford trackers and my window sticker still has not returned.

What is the visibility report?

I asked my dealer about what my priority code is last week and he said he doesn't know what that is. I am in Canada, but I'm assuming even we have priority codes and visibility reports on our orders?

Walk in an request another person. If he's not aware of what a priority report is on a retail order, he isn't the salesperson for you. I posted a link maybe about 5 pages or so now at this point that sums up all the basic information you're going to want to know. Check it out!

As far as I know, The dealer assigns the priority code when he places the order with Ford.
Possibly he is not being completely honest with you.
That would be a red flag with me.
Priority codes 10 to 19 are retail orders and anything above that is a stock order.

Yes. He has a lot of rules that have to be followed. Nothing crazy.
Does he have a rule about not to identify this informant? I don’t want to spam him with questions every day, but my last update (outside of my dealer) was from Pioneer before he retired.

I’m just curious if the June 22nd date is holding or if I’ve dropped into 2023 yet.

No. Take a look at his rules and you'll see why that isn't a concern. BLUF: you can't ask for an update until you've made 15 good comments.
There are other rules, but I think that's the big one that limits the requests from the "get my truck and disappear" crew. These forums are rich with information, and I think they'll be invaluable when we get our trucks.

That seems reasonable enough...I was worried it would be something like "Gather the approval of 10 forum elders and pledge your alliance to the mighty blue oval with the sacrifice of a young goat!".
