Cool to see so many of our allies in Canada buying F150s. Is the F150 the #1 selling vehicle there as well? Although most folks the world over view Americans as just folks from the USA, the Americas consist of more than just the USA. If the F150 is Canada's #1 selling truck, then the F150 surely is "America's" #1 selling vehicle.
I’d say the buying trend is very similar and, per capita, we actually buy more trucks. Canada has 10% of the population of the the US but we buy F150’s at a rate of 15-16%.

It would be a rare sight if you stopped at a red light and didn’t see an F150 somewhere.

Not sure, but probably is. Talking to the car guys they always go on about false advertising on the F-series truck being number 1 vs the F150 ?. Being in a big GM area (Oshawa), the GMC/Chevy trucks outnumber the Ford easily by 5 to 1 I would say in my neighborhood. Will take a tally during my nightly walk tonight with the pup. ?
Walked the pup for 20 minutes while I tallied the number of trucks in driveways in the neighborhood. ? Not quite 5 to 1 like i said. ?
GM - 34
Ford - 12
RAM - 14
Toyota - 5

looks like it to me. Here’s a site with stats from 2020. F-series wins

Years? (It makes a difference)

But... I DO see far more GM & Toyota on the road than F150s and most (not by much) F150s are stripped down Construction Company/Fleet trucks.

Well no change on my ETA still.. still says May 10th end.

WHats more disappointing is the F150 Lightning. I was so AMPED to see it but was so disappointed in the specs, given i have a down on a cybertruck.

Tesla beats all the specs
Price - TIE (assume top specs)
Tow 10,000lbs vs 15,000lbs (this is worse than the normal gas max tow, curious on payload)
Range 300miles vs 500miles
0-60mph 4.5 sec vs 2.9 sec
Exterior: normal vs stainless steel (supposedly bulllet proof??)
Chargin network: Tesla Supercharger vs Ford Charging

I was really hoping the ligtning was going to be bad ass so that i can flip my 21 F150 if it every showed up into another ford (which apparently its easy to get into a new F150 and break lease), but now it is cybertruck all the way.

Part of me hopes that my truck gets delayed so i can cancel it and wait for the cyber truck now LOL..

I was definitely a little disappointed in the specs especially range... as well and thought that maybe I would cancel current order if this continues to drag out too long and wait on the E f150 if it was a no brainer. But even if the Tesla "truck" ever makes it to the starting gate I could never drive that crazy looking thing down the dirt road or to the workplace with a straight face.
I'll drive this hybrid truck for a few years if I ever get it and when Ford or GM gets the kinks works out and significantly improves range and specs on a regular style pickup truck I may consider Electric..

I admit i am definitely not looking at the cybertruck for looks but more for durability. Dont worry about door dings or salt/scratches. My current 21 F150 that i am waiting for is a 2 year lease as us Canadians got a really crazy deal on Lariat 502A's. Therefore will need a new truck again in 2 years!

Did anyone else laugh when they saw that they expect the first orders to ship in spring of 2022?

That's hilarious but pretty much offensive at this point to people that placed an order for a 21, not that I've had it half as bad as some folks that ordered back in 2020. They seem to think they're going to have a lot more chips later in the year from the press statements / news stuff I've seen.

Don’t worry. Spring 2022 will be decided by Groundhogs day. If he sees his shadow, Fords tracker will just say Spring isn’t for 6 more weeks, those electric 150’s you ordered are sitting in a parking lot looking for their own shadows”.

Maybe a handful out of the total are greater than 5 yrs old. A lot of first responders in my area that moonligh typically in the landscaping business, most of those are GMs. I think the other factor in my area are employee or friends and family discounts with GM. GM in the town so everyone has a connection to get the special pricing. The other manufacturers are a fair distance away, Ford Oakville is over an hour away so you don't really have the workers living in our area.

GM is definitely my 2nd choice.

I'd drive a Ford Pinto before I'd buy a RAM and a Toyota, while admittedly a great vehicle is out of the question.
Nissans are just cardboard trucks. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would buy a Nissan.
...my 2 cents
