Remember when your dash had a tach, speedometer, oil temp, radiator temp, and maybe a check engine warning light? Those days are long gone!

While waiting for my 2025 King Ranch PowerBoost to arrive, I ordered the hard copy owners manual from Helm. Near the front of the manual it lists all the symbols that may show up on your new truck. There are NINE pages of symbols/warnings!!!! That is 241 symbols!!! Yikes!

I actually remember when a factory tachometer was a pretty rare option. Those were the days!

Tac in the dash...wow. I remember when the tac was mounted on the steering column with a gear clamp. Temp, Oil and fuel were the only ones I remember. Welcome to the world of technology....

3 on the tree or 4 on the floor... Rev up the motor and dump the clutch or real aggressive you would side step the clutch...

If you think that’s bad, take a look at the workshop manual for these trucks. Over 300 pages just for all the potential fault codes that may occur from any of the sensors/modules.

My father got his only ticket while driving his brother in law's Triumph.

He was reading the tach, not the speedometer . . .

Look at it this way.

Mechanical is just that and that for the life of the vehicle.

Buy a common flat scree adapt it to the vehicle. Hire someone to do some computer wizardry and wa la you have a re-programmable screen that has the possibility to make even more money with subscription updates to keep it up to date and running.
