Radio Staying On When Car Off

Perhaps this was due to a recent over-the-air update but previously when I would turn my truck off, the radio would remain on until I opened the door at which point the radio would turn off and the rear seat warning would start up. But as of maybe a week ago, now when I turn the truck off and open the door, the radio stays on and the rear seat warning also plays. The radio will not turn off until I close the door.

Is this a software glitch or is this what Ford now thinks people want?

Any way to change this? I would like everything to turn off as soon as I turn the truck off like older vehicles.

I honestly don't know if this FORScan setting adjusts ONLY the various power points (e.g., 12V socket, certain fuses, the rain sensor that I have my radar tapped into, etc.) or if it includes the radio, but I adjusted mine down to 20 seconds. Perhaps give it a whirl by setting yours down to 1 second? Unless someone else comes along as tells us it does NOT affect the radio:

Yes in forscsn you can change the time at which it's on ,if truck is off, say up to 20 minutes vice 10.

But by default it shuts off when door is open.

Do your interior lights stay on
Or any other door open or closed events seem off kilter
Which OTA did you receive

I have had three different service loaners and the radio stays on after the door is opened for 3 or 4 seconds in each of them. It is really odd for the radio to not turn off as soon as the door is opened like my truck does.

Mine does this as well and it is super annoying. There has to be a setting somewhere but for the life of me I have not been able to find it

Everything else seems to function as intended.
As for the OTA update - I have no clue. I don't pay attention to those. Whichever was the latest one I presume.

my 2024 XL keeps the radio on for about 5ish seconds AFTER I open the door, then it goes off before I am fully out and about to shut the door. Been that way since Day 1 and I have not made any Forscan changes etc.

My 2024 Dark Horse keeps the radio on for about 5 seconds after opening the door. My 2021 F150 Platinum turns it off immediately.

My 2024 King Ranch will keep playing the radio for about 5 seconds as well. It always shuts off before I can close the door, so at least I know it is off. The 2022 302a XLT I had prior, the radio would instantly turn off upon opening the driver's door.

I just chalked it up to it being a new, updated truck with updated software compared to the 2022. It doesn't bother me, but may be annoying to others. YMMV.

Just bought my truck a few weeks ago and it did this since day one.

Same, just took delivery of mine a few weeks ago and noticed it right away. Very annoying especially when you're on a phone call and have to sit and wait with door ajar and phone to ear for it to switch over. I get some fun looks when out and about
