Lights staying on

I have looked through the manual and could not find an answer so I'm turning to you guys for help.

This started yesterday. When I get out of the truck all the lights stay on. The headlights, taillights and the marker lights on the mirrors. They will eventually time out (10-15 minutes) and shut off but even when I lock the truck they stay on. When I get back in the truck after it sitting the chimes sound like a warning.

Can anyone help with this?

Mine has done that a couple of times. XLT 301
I just realized a couple of days ago, my driver door was not fully closed.
This possibly has something to do with it

Thanks for the suggestion. I just went and slammed all the doors and locked it. All the same lights are still on.

It is baffling.

Interested to hear what this ends up being. I’ve noticed this at some dealerships on test drives but figured I was doing something wrong. Ordering mine Monday so I should prolly pay closer attention now haha

Yes they are.

Sounds like zone lighting? Have you manually turned it off? I think if you turn it on it wont turn off automatically so you have to turn it off in the settings or ford pass app.

Isn't the zone lighting the cause of the battery drain issue that was fixed by a firmware update at the dealership not OTA.
Maybe that's it?
I think the workaround until you can get update was to turn it off on the big screen TV somehow...

Found it!! There was a piece of paper in the tray on the dashboard that apparently was covering up the light detection. When the paper was removed, it started working again as it should. It was a small piece of paper that covered it.

Just had this start happening on my wife's truck, where exactly is the sensor?

It was in the tray on top of the dashboard above the screen. It takes just a little bit of something to cover it up.
