Radio Staying On When Car Off

Has anyone found a solution yet? Really not liking this change. Have to double check that I actually turned the truck off every time now

I have observed that several things remain on, including headlights, for some 30 seconds to a minute after engine shutdown. I believe Ford did this to provide some things like lighting for the walk into a home at night. Just a convenience thing by Ford.

Annoying as hell. Radio should be off the second the door is open. Not everyone wants hear Jelly Roll blasting.

Agreed, everything should be off when the door opens. Half the time I have to double or triple check I shut it off, super annoying "feature"

2024 STX here, please @Ford Motor Company can we get a fix for this! The Radio should turn off on door open. I have had this problem and many others since day 1. Updated to 10.1.0 with the latest sync version 24127 yesterday and still have the same issue.

Yep, the check cleared. They got what they wanted from us, why would they come back around and do anything else?

24 STX and mine stays on for about 10 seconds after the door is opened and the key is out. (yes the STX still takes a key and I actually prefer it)

Another quirk on mine, is that there is a 2-3 second delay for the interior lights to come on when the door is opened. That bothers me more than the radio issue. I hope it is not an indication of the dreaded battery issue is about rear its' head.

Other than that, I really f******* love this truck.

The 5.0 is a great motor.

One thing you should check is if you have the double honk if you get out of the truck with the key in your pocket and you left it running. That might help until you find a fix or workaround.

On my 24 KR, there is an option under the settings to disable the nuisance double honk. My 22 302a didn’t have that option to disable. It is nice to now be able to get out of my truck, with the fob in my pocket, to go back into the house if I forgot something, or to check the mailbox, without announcing to the world that I have gotten out of my truck.

The door chime does have a “panic alarm” sound when I get out with the truck running with the fob in my pocket, but no one on the outside of the truck will hear it unless they are right next to the truck.

My radio has about a 5 second delay to turn off when I open my door. It doesn’t really bother me though, unless I jump out of my truck like a cop getting out to chase a bad guy, it shuts off before I can close the door. My 22 302a, the radio shut off immediately upon opening the door. It must be some change in the programming for the 24’s. I have no idea why they would add a delay.

Must be a 2024/2023 update. My 2021 PB did not do this, but my 2024 does. Quite annoying to keep checking if I actually turned the truck off, and also have the audio still playing once my door is opened. Wondering if Forscan has an option for this.

My 21 even with a 23 12” and APIM still immediately shuts off but my 23 superduty stays on.

I'm having the same issue with my hunk of $h!t 2022 F150 PowerBoost.
The radio keeps playing after I open the door, where before it did not.
The Ford dealer has no clue how to fix it.
Does Ford monitor this forum anymore?
They need to get their crap together and fix this as well as the many other issues with this POS truck.
