My local service dept. picked it up from my work and dropped it back off just after lunch. TCU was replaced and so far the Ford Pass loads and is working as it should.
Hopefully it stays this way.
I got a call from my local service department yesterday to let me know the new TCU is in. I have an appointment for tomorrow for the swap.
One thing that is strange, is that yesterday was the first time I have noticed that on the Ford navigation I was getting a "No Gps" icon.
Then this...
No codes on my scanner. I'm not willing to spend the time or money on it just yet. Plus, I'd probably screw something else up.
I'll call my dealer first part of the week and see what "Ford" is telling them.
I have been posting in the Power Boost section and thought it might be better to repost it here for more visibility.
So these are my posts and some responses in chronological order.
Replies are in italics.

My Ford Pass App stopped working on the 9th. I called the Ford Pass help...
Added these Coverado brand rear seat covers/protectors. Got them off of Amazon for less than 75.00. I think they'll work for me.
They fit a little funny at the head rests, but I think I can adjust them better once they stretch. Same for the wrinkles.
The passenger side back slips over the...
I just now realized that this in the hybrid section, but I'll keep adding here.
I called the recall number today and after several "options" from the bot, I finally spoke with a human.
They kept putting me on hold and researching the service history and couldn't give me an answer. They...
Update to my issue. Last week the dealer called and said "Ford" wanted them to run one more "pin point" test. I stopped by after work and after about 30 minutes, they said it "failed" or did whatever Ford needed it to do to get a new TCU ordered.
Then this morning about 9:45, I get a call...
Added some under seat storage. Less than 70.00 off ebay. It screws together in 3 pieces. I did have to drill holes in the storage box for the mounting bolts to line up. 5 minute fix. I think I'll like it. I may have to get some shelf/tool drawer liner if it rattles too much.
I've seen the idea/want of keeping the driving mode on the next start up. I have given it some thought and I think that Ford is doing the right thing by defaulting back to Normal/2wd.
Suppose you have been driving in snowy conditions in 4WD. You park for a few days, the snow melts and...
2024 STX 4WD Package Coyote
Just under 20K.
If babying the throttle, it skip 2nd when starting from a stop. No matter what drive mode.
If driving just slightly spirited, it hits second.
If driving in town around 25-40 mph, it acts like it is hunting for the right gear. It seems to shift...
Swap the sensor for low washer fluid for one that senses when the tailgate is down so you don't get the annoying alarm.
For crying out loud, if I push the button for washer fluid and none comes out, it's empty.
Make the latch for the rear seat back easier to align when putting it back in the...
Word from the dealer is the TCU is bad. They said the parts would be in in a few days. I'll update again when it is replaced and hopefully running like it should.
My son bought a used 2015 Mustang that only came with one FOB. He was worried that since it had a distinctive paint job and exhaust note that whomever had the other might be tempted to reclaim it.
Our local Ford dealer got him a second FOB and reprogrammed both for a couple of hundred.
They...
It would be pretty cheap insurance for everyone to at least get an aftermarket FOB and program it so that if one original is lost, you still have 2 to program another.
In you situation it would probably be best to have the original FOB's deactivated and get new ones since the thief more than...
In order to program a FOB on your own, you need 2 working remotes. If you didn't make a spare, the dealer or possibly a higher end locksmith will have to do it.
Do you happen to have the key code that came with your original FOB's? There might be a work around if you have that.
I think there...
I'm with the others on taking both, not only in case of losing one, but sometimes we spend different amounts of time at the places we stop. That way each of us can access the truck/car while waiting on the other.
