Installed a Rough Country bed step, took it off today. It’s a piece of shiOt. It doesn’t fit well. The step plate sticks out too far. If can’t be aligned straight with the bumper. It hits the hitch before it can be brought in all the way. The slider mechanism is a poor design. It will holder packed with ice and snow. It is going back.

Ordered the AMP Research model, I’ve had it on a Toyota before, the quality is 10x better.

Good move! The Amp step is the way to go. Very adjustable. Two years on the truck now and not a single problem, snow and ice don't bother it in a bit!

yeah, I should’ve known better. I’ll listen to a couple people who highly recommended the RC step. While it’s about half the cost, the quality is very poor.

Found my key to the bed tie down locks so was finally able to swap them out with some RAD Straps at the rear on each side....

Also gave it a bath and detail / removed the under seat storage....

Finally did the tremor skid plate! My truck does not have the correct frame holes but that was an easy fix with a couple custom brackets!! What should I do with the upper trim piece and skid plate? Paint upper trim piece silver or rhino line both black?

I see you are one of the lucky with painted trim piece. Mine is just raw plastic that I haven't found time to paint.

I've been noticing my headlights and fogs didn't seem to be throwing very much light at night. Forgot to take before and after photos but everything was aimed way low.

Spent a half hour adjusting them per the manual last night. Park the truck level and aimed at something 25feet from the front of the truck, I used a board and measured out 25ft with a tape. Headlight hotspot (lows) should be at the same level as the bulbs from 25ft. The fogs should be about 3" lower than the level of the fog bulbs from 25ft.

My headlights are 41 1/2" from the ground at the truck, and the fogs are 25" from the ground.

My fogs were aimed at the ground about 3feet in front of the truck. The lows were ~32"off the ground at 25feet, so 9 and a half inches low at 25ft on my truck. This is from the factory! No wonder I couldn't see anything at night.

Adjusted them using the above measurements and wouldn't you know it, I can see at night now!
Are these headlights and the fog lights like the old school ones with a screw to aim them, or is there some computer method?

They’re aimed traditional way, pretty
straight forward.

the headlights have a Philips head screwdriver from the top when you open the hood.

The fogs have a 1/2” plastic nut that you reach from in front of the front tires. Had to take out a couple screws from the wheel well liners and reach in to get to them but not too bad.

I just checked the owner's manual for mine and it said the 24s have auto adjusted lights. I'll have to check it out sometime.

I was more worried about my fog lights because they seem pointed straight down, but there may not be anything I can do.

You can lay underneath the truck and use your cell phone camera and light to look behind the fog light module. If you see a white plastic nut then they will be manual adjust.
