We have the same beliefs on OEM and doing it yourself. I was just shocked at the price as was the parts manager at the local dealer! He was the one that went on about how proud they are of them. He even went and talked to others to confirm the price. Lol. Thank you everyone for the help. I've found them at advance thx to @My 2ND Ford thank youYeah, the plugs aren’t cheap but I think of it this way they’re pretty much supposed to be changed at 50k. Still doing fine for you.
I’m 57. I’ve been working on my own stuff since I was 14 over the years I’ve come to realize that OEM parts, in my belief are of a very much higher quality than AutoZone garbage. But that does come with a cost.
It’s your truck, it’s your money, so of course it’s your choice. If you think plugs are expensive yada wait till you see the price tag on new coils.
Thank you!Which ever plugs you go with, don't forget your coil boots. Personally I would stick with motorcraft plugs and boots. Advance offers Sp-588 motorcraft plugs for $11.99.
That’s surprising. I didn’t think that the parts stores had been competitive with pricing in years. I know that their air/oil filter prices always seem to be much higher for name brand items than online.Just so you know rock auto has them for $12.86. Autozone also has them for 11.99.
I was surprised also. Usually rockauto is cheaper. I was also surprised they only had one spark plug choice. That’s surprising.
