Unbelievable!
I ordered 1-23-24.
Lariat 501a, BAP, BUP, 3.5 Ecoboost, FX4, Trailer/Tow...
Was finally pulled for "Preview" last Tuesday and then they revoked my "Preview" supposedly due to unavailable BAP parts.
I am getting a really bad attitude about this shit show at Ford. I may just walk...
What did you do right and what did I do wrong?
Yes I have the 3.5 but no trailering or FX4.

Dealer did confirm they had allocation when I ordered and I got a high priority code (confirmed both of these with the sales manager I ordered through).

I ordered from this same dealer in Feb 2021 and also had a production date within weeks of ordering, but then I got caught up in the KCAP plant shutdowns and took delivery of my truck 4 months after my original build date.

Hang in there man.

Thanks!
My dealer has plenty of allocations and I've been priority 3 for several months now.

200 days here, 24 KR 601A. I want to know who takes the depreciation hit from me getting a year old '24. Dealer said that they don't negotiate on price...especially because there are only 129 '24 KR orders that have been accepted by Ford. I really want to know what "held for quality checks" actually means.
No offense to your dealer, but I think he is full of crap that only 129 KRs in 2024 have been accepted by Ford. For one, I have one and have had it for three months. It doesn't seem that rare to me as I see other 24 KRs around Dallas pretty often. This is a BS tactic he is using to not discount the truck. I got a $6k discount on mine when they were a helluva lot more rare than now.

Two, a simple check on Autotrader nationwide shows that that there are currently 657 2024 King Ranches for sale right now. This does not even count all of the ones that they have delivered and sold between March and now.

Its been 4 years of excuses using the terms “limited supply” or ”supply chain issues”. Time to stop making supply chain excuses and raising prices and move on to normalcy.

And some people, stop talking about COVID. Its a F___ing cold man! People need to stop paying attention to this cold and stop testing for it. People just need to accept the fact that this virus amounts to nothing more than the sniffles now and its here to stay forever so learn to live with it.
I agree 100% with you.

Higher unemployment will be a good thing. People will stop thinking they can fuck around in the factory and not lose their jobs.

I sure hope so. Then Ford will be kissing our backsides to get us to buy vehicles.

This is an excellent tip......I searched nationwide for lariat 501A (my order) and it returned zero? Why did they let us order it???

After seeing this bad news and it has been 261 days since I ordered my 24 F150 Platinum PB, 702A and some other goodies, it looks like I will not get scheduled or receive my truck. May have to look at the 2025 Dodge RAM and research more on their version of a hybrid. Can't be any worse than what Ford has done. Not sure of what my options are if I don't get scheduled since I have a down payment for my 2024. CEO James Duncan Farley Jr. needs to be replaced along with many of the other Presidents and VPs.
What’s the deal? Not like they’re aren’t any platinums around?

How is the 2.7L in short supply? It's their volume engine and as far as I know it's an upgrade in the Bronco and not available as an upgrade in the Ranger just yet.
I'd guess they are purposely restricting it to force more people to Powerboost. Ford is moving all it's eggs from the EV basket and putting them in the hybrid basket.

It's a hard sell for the 2.7L right now, IMO, considering the hybrid is a no cost option. With the $1,900 rebate, along with some additional features such as the PPO and e-locking axle, it makes sense.

My 9/9 build date was moved up to 9/2, per a Ford email today.

I just switched my order to a PowerBoost for those reasons. Plus my build date moved to 9/2 also. I now should be getting my F150 in time for hunting season!

Nice, congrats! Between the feature content and the fuel savings, it really is a great package for the price, and no one has a direct competitor.

Thanks for the feedback, good to know. I followed up with the dealership (Granger) this morning and was told that Ford received the order on 7/17, and that Ford is often slow to send confirmation emails. I’m just trying to figure out if there’s a real chance that my order gets bumped to MY25, or if Ford “receiving” my order on 7/17 is an indication that my truck will be built as MY24. I’ve only ordered a truck once before - it was 8 years ago and through a different dealership - so I don’t really know how the process is meant to go.

FYI @1A2A

Just got my VIN today scheduled for week of Sept 16th.
