I've had this happen once. I couldn't get the truck to stop running. The only thing I could figure is I left the truck's heater on. I ended up shutting the truck off for a couple of hours. When I re- started the truck I made sure the heater/ac and the fan was off. I haven't had a problem since.
Over the weekend I tested my truck again before taking my TT back to the storage lot. It worked perfectly, no issues. It cycled off/on just like it was designed. I even tried to increase load on the PPOB. Ran the TT A/C on High Cool and it did impact how when the ICE cycled. Only got about 10 mins on battery then 2 1/2 mins on ICE. I guess I'll have to wait and see on my boondocking stay if the ICE stays on while using the PPOB. All tests were done with Truck A/C off.

Ford needs to do one thing to broaden out the desirability of the PPOB. They need to alter the programming so that a house can be powered from the PPOB without all the gyrations regarding the neutral ground Bonding. Face it, aside from three or four large loads that cannot be run at the same time (water heater, dryer, oven, A/C), the PPOB can power an entire house without breaking a sweat. The only issue is that ground fault setup is a PITA and it scares some people off.

Ford has missed the boat on the PPOB. What a game changer, they need to give more options for it. Like a programmed Camping mode (turns off all lights in the cab while camping etc.) More monitoring options on the load/draw so you can see when you are near the max load before the ICE stays running. Alerts if ICE is running for more than 10 mins etc.... I know I'm asking a lot from FORD who can't even get their dumb APP to work with the truck.... As for the House connection there should be a better way. I have read a lot about setting up the house to use the PPOB. I just have a nice 4 outlet flat power cord I use and run ext. cords to the primary things I need to run. I may someday install a transfer switch.

If you install an inlet box on the outer wall, an interlock between the input breaker and the mainline power breaker, and connect all four wires (eg 2 hots, 1 neutral and 1 ground), and a properly rated input breaker in your panel, this will satisfy the NEC. The only issue is that neutral ground bond and the software in the truck. PS Don't use a double male cable between the house and the truck, the input boxes are properly configured.
