My answer to this question is always YES.

The real question is how to buy one. I think many have already covered that.

I don't agree with the 5.0 being tried and true though. I believe they made some changes several years ago and didn't change the name of the engine. Only going on my ex neighbor's opinion as I have never owned one and he did and was not happy. That will take some more searching on your part though.
There are plenty of videos out there explaining the generational changes to 5.0L Coyote and what was updated/fixed/changed, but the current generation is still very much a Coyote. It is not a different engine.

The only valid recurring complaint at this point is that it should make a bit more power in stock form but otherwise it's a very solid engine at this point. That's not to say someone didn't get a bad one at some point, like your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.

Yeah. I really should have stayed out of it not having any real info or opinion. Just made a flip remark based on someone else's statements.

You might consider seeing if you can find a leftover ‘23. Discounts of $10K plus are not uncommon and you can also get 1.9 for up to 72 mo if you are financing.

I just picked up a ‘23 Lariat in the Atlanta area last week. $10K off plus I had a $4K PCO plus 1.9. For me it was a business decision. Too good to pass up.

No worries at all!! I just found a good opportunity to use a Spaceballs reference, lol

But truly, the 5.0L Coyote is an excellent powerplant at this point in it's development. It's just not as sexy as the Ecoboost or Powerboost options.

I disagree, looks pretty sexy to me :). I mean the 5.0 makes more power per liter than any other V8 in the segment, and makes more power/torque than the 5.7 Hemi, Toyota 5.7, Chevy 5.3. The only N/A engine that makes more power is the 6.2L in the Chevy

Oh, I agree with you 100%. I have a 5.0L Lariat inbound to my dealer now ;)

I meant it isn't sexy from a techno-geek standpoint.

I just flew to Des Moines a couple weeks ago to get my 2024 701a powerboost. It was the easiest car/truck purchase I've ever had by miles. Not even in the same universe with the typical dealer BS. Drove home 1590 miles to Idaho. They surprised me with $3400 in rebates I wasn't expecting a couple days before my flight. Around $11k cheaper than I could get locally and the dealers here didn't even want to talk to me about the quote Chip at Granger gave me back in December.

Fully recommend Granger. Even with the drive back. If all things remain the same I will go to Iowa again for my next pickup.

My total time while at Granger was about an hour. 10min for paper work, and then about 50min for them giving me a "demo" of the truck.....pairing my phone, etc. That part would have went much quicker too but I was messing with every button, knob, etc., like a kid on Christmas morning with a new toy. And then had the goofy perma-grin driving off the lot. It was a great experience. Those types of days happen less and less as you age.

4% under invoice with no ridiculous dealer haggling. You would either fly out to the dealership in Iowa or you can work in arrange transport to bring the vehicle to you. You get a custom built vehicle to your exact specifications.

@Granger Ford , can you expand on why ordering from you is so incredibly great?
I think you nailed it. I can't imagine anyone has sold more F-150s than Chip at our store. He knows these trucks inside and out.

The only thing I don’t like about the 5.0 is the stupid cylinder deactivation. Gm and Dodge have had lots of problems with CD. So far I haven’t heard of any problems with the 5.0 CD but i still hate it.

What dealer did you end up using? I’m in the Atlanta area.

Does the current F150 have a CVT transmission? Is that a good thing or bad thing?

anyone having issues with their 24 having seal leaks or burning oil?

Mine came from Jim Ellis. He’s got several left in XLT and Lariat. Akins has a few left as well although I think their Lariats are sold out.

All F150 have a 10-speed automatic. No CVT to be found for any model of F150. I cannot speak to your second question with facts but I have not seen anything on the forums, Reddit, etc. regarding that issue.
