This is a roll call for those of us that have orders that include the Pro Access Tailgate, weren't scheduled in Job 1, and elected to not take the 63x delete credit. Hopefully, this can be a way for us to track how many of us there are out there. From the sounds of it, many folks with orders that had PAT opted for the 63x and Ford rewarded them with a near instant scheduling for 4/1/24.

Then there are us. The holdouts. Are you still here in purgatory because of specific desire for the PAT? Are you here because you refuse to accept a BS $270 delete credit? Are you here just because your dealer didn't tell you about the 63x? We've got nothing but time to wait, might as well pass it together...

I'll be the first reply to join the list. Placed Platinum PB 701A order on 1/2/24.

I was initially not concerned about the PAT, but when job 2 news hit and I hadn't been scheduled, I decided to bump to priority 99 to make job 2. Only to be greeted with the lovely 63X news 2 weeks later.

Overall, I think it's a combination of things that made me decide to wait. One, a $270 credit is ridiculous. Two, I'm really not in an hurry, as much as I try to convince myself otherwise. My 2020 EB suits me just fine as I wait. Three, I'm intrigued by the perceived usefulness of the PAT. Maybe it'll be completely pointless and I'll end up using it as a normal tailgate 99% of the time, but I don't want to be wondering that later when I see PAT's in the wild and I'm without. And four, my truck is often used as a truck, and the stupid plastic cover over the current tailgate step drives me crazy. Don't get me wrong, the step is useful at times, but I've spent more time picking that cover off the ground than I ever have actually using the step.

Cheers to the wait, sounds like we can all have a celebratory beer together at Granger sometime this summer (hopefully).

Of course, we are not exclusive.

I am a terribly impatient person. Waiting has always driven me mad. For me this is torture. I know my truck is great. I have no reason not to wait, but it still gnaws at me. When I heard that all those guys who went 63x got scheduled the next day for 2.5 weeks from now, I almost broke. But that is what they want me to do.

If I broke and gave in I know exactly what would happen: the PAT trucks would be scheduled 2-3 weeks later after Ford reduced the orders with them down to a manageable level for their inept process.

Plan on it being scheduled 4 months from now. Then if it gets scheduled 2 months from now think of how happy you will be. :)

Ordered a '24 Tremor on Feb 20th from Granger. Haven't heard anything from them about the 63X option but read about it here. Like others have said, I'll probably use the tailgate in its traditional form 99% of the time but would like the ability to use the additional features of the PAT from time to time. I'm a pretty impatient person to begin with so this additional wait is killing me. Beer helps...

That’s a viable option.

24 PB Lariat BAP with bed utility package been waiting for any update since I ordered 10/18. Priority code 19
In the same boat… 24 Lariat BAP w/ BUP ordered 11/7 priority code 19. No updates besides the 45 day emails. Decided to hold out like the rest of us on this thread for the new PAT. At this point setting my expectations for this summer…sigh

I'll join the club. Ordered, a KR in Sept last year. I'm holding out for the PAT, since I believe it could be useful and don't like accepting a custom ordered truck with deletes. We'll see how long this wait lasts...

I was with you guys on waiting for PAT, however, it was just getting to the point where I needed to have the truck for the summer camping and towing activities that me and the Mrs have planned. A combination of determining how "we" would be using the truck I determined that I would have more of use case for the classic tailgate with the integrated step.

With that I bailed and took 63X, but didn't get mine in before this weeks scheduling.

I am extremely interested to see how you "holdouts" ultimately leverage PAT. I will try and not be too jealous.

Current 2015 Platinum owner with a 2024 King Ranch Ordered in February. I was ready to get a new truck in 2023 but was so annoyed with all the deletes that I passed. I am holding out, but if I bail due to excessive delay it won’t be for a Ford with the old tailgate — I will look at the new Ram, Tundra, and others.

I am a Ford guy. This episode has people asking why I'm staying loyal to Ford. My Dad drove Ford. I drive Fords. This isn't enough to change that.

To me, Ford is larger than Farley and the current gang running the show. Ford is an institution that existed long before them and will be around long after they are gone. Like how I'm not impressed with our nation's leaders, but I'll never not be proud to be American.

I've driven other trucks and been lured by a deal. I drove a 2021 Trail Boss for about 8 months (after a 2016 F-250) before I got rid of it. Hated that damn thing. Most uncomfortable truck ever, constant issues like the air bag harness coming loose triggering an audible warning every time you turned the wheel. Came home to mother Ford with my 22 Plat. Won't go back again.
