Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
I don’t have a lot to add except my experience making the mistake of thinking drilled and slotted rotors would be a good way to go. I did them on my mustang because the factory brakes weren’t up to the task of hauling that heavy car down. The EBC pads I went to were amazing, the powerstop drilled rotors were not. They cracked in about 15,000 miles. I can’t say for sure what caused it in the end but I have a hunch it was running through a puddle with really hot brakes on a 0 degree F evening. Sure enough, they cracked right out from a drill hole. I believe that is likely unless they are actually cast with the holes and not drilled, which is usually the real expensive ones. I’d go with auto parts store solid rotors and good pads if you want to change up from factory
Drilled rotors tend to crack. Slotted rotors do not. Unless you are doing serious towing stay factory. Slots will make a cooling difference, assuming they are installed properly. I kept warping 85 suburban rotors. Finally took the new ones to a machine shop and had 5 slots cut into them (this was before slotted rotors were readily available). Never warped again.
