Just purchased a new to me 2021 F-150 Tremor, curious if you could tell me what's going on with it. 1FTEW1E84MFC46741

Also, does everyone think it's worth the money to drop this off at a dealership just to have them go over it for anything wonky? There are so many options available on this truck I am not sure I would know something is odd or wrong aside from normal driving because this is a huge tech hole. Also do i understand correctly that there are upgrades to software that are not over the air (OTA) that only a dealership can flash?

The truck is not in a bad place in terms of updates. Not fully up to date, but not terribly behind. It is reporting lots of codes for low voltage; a new battery looks like something you need to look into. Also, it is recording a DTC in the CMR that needs to be addressed by the dealer as per the screenshot below. Unless it has extended warranty, this truck is out of warranty, so not sure if this would be covered or not.

I understand the updates being sent. I just think many of the systems don't work properly when it thinks there is a voltage problem. Isn't there some type of 80% threshold? This thing has start/stop issues, adaptive cruise control issues, collision assist issue, audio issues, and sometimes sounds like I'm driving with the brakes stuck on, but it is something right under the driver's feet.

That auto start/stop is for sure affected by low voltage, but not the others things as far as I know. The truck is not recording any DTC's relevant to the other issues you are mentioning. Not sure what direction to point you as far as that goes.

Truck is almost up to date in terms of power-up updates and is reporting no relevant DTC's. Anything wrong with the truck? Everything looks fine from what I can see.

The truck is not in a bad place in terms of updates. Not fully up to date, but not terribly behind. Thank you. I have an issue that happened couple times. I remote start the truck, but it's sounds weird and shaking a lot, looks like couple cylinders are misfiring. then I get check engine light for couple days and it goes away. the dealer said they can't do anything until the problem is always there.

You are not up to date. Your truck is on Sync 23031 which is two version behind the latest. Modules pending updates are below:

As far as I know, there is still a risk of it causing an issue with the headlights.

Thanks...I figured as much. Is that going out as an OTA? I know it was showing in FDRS for my truck last week. I didn't install it.

Edit: I talked to my dealer and was told if I installed it and screwed up my lights, I would not be covered under warranty.

If you are concerned just wait until it hits OTA. Then they can't deny they broke your headlights and you didn't do anything. However, they can see it updated with FDRS which is what they use so there is plenty of evidence to get Ford to warranty the lights in my opinion.

If you are concerned just wait until it hits OTA. Then they can't deny they broke your headlights and you didn't do anything. However, they can see it updated with FDRS which is what they use so there is plenty of evidence to get Ford to warranty the lights in my opinion.

Looks like you have quite a few. Last OTA was the TCU update on 12/8/23. I don't have quite the same permission ruge does so I can't see if you have any OTAs pending or not. You have an SCCM update to that might help out your wiper issue.

Thanks in advance! Rain Sensing wipers don't seem to enable, they just stay on intermittent. I'm thinking it's a module issue.

You probably have already done it but go into the vehicles settings on the center screen and make sure rain sensing is turned on there, I had it randomly turn off on me so they worked like traditional intermittent wipers until I reactivated the setting.

I have 6.5 but last 2 days have been getting phantom alerts that new update has been downloaded and will be update per schedule. Nothing has happened and download alert on screen goes away with no update. Then it repeats itself.

Shouldn't be the battery as currently driving approx 10gr per day as we travel across the country and dealership put in a new battery under warranty (and did wiper motor recall) before we left.
