Cargo sliding around on drop in bed liner.

Last week I picked up a used 2021 crew cab with the 5.5ft bed. It came with a drop in bed liner and ford soft roll up cover. I keep a couple containers in the bed for getting groceries home but I also frequently have a stroller folded up in the bed.
Anyone have ideas to keep the stroller from sliding in the bed?

I looked at getting the Ford Accessories track system and bed divider but it says not compatible with drop in bed liners but mine has the cutouts for the box link system.
Is that still an option?

Congratulations on the new truck! And welcome to the forum! A lot of good information and helpful, friendly members; one of the best around IMO.

Just use a bungie cord or something to tie if off, but I'm sure you thought of that though

Honestly, I would remove the drop in bed liner. I've had a couple in my years and just never liked them. Stuff slides around (like strollers), create static electricity, they rub the paint off on the bed, condensation can build between the liner and the bed (aluminum beds now no rust), leaves and junk somehow gets in between the bed and the liner ?‍

The quick solution might be to get a bed rug now and put it over the top of the drop in bed liner. They help keep stuff from sliding around, not 100% mind you, but way better than the hard slippery surface of a drop in bed liner.

Then maybe as funds permit combine a spray in like LineX and put the rubber bed rug on top of it. In my experience the spray ins are nice, but just as hard as a drop in bed liner. While the spray ins have some texture, stuff still slides around, hence the bed rug on top.

And for the box links, I don't believe there is a limitation with them and a bed extender.

This is what I made for mine. I had the same problem with gas/diesel cans sliding around. Look at it closely to see how it is secured. The horizontal boards are removable. Notice I also have a rubber bed mat (from Ford).

Yea I thought of that but haven’t had a chance to figure out what size cord I need
I came from an suv so I’ve never had some of these issues before

This is what I made for mine. I had the same problem with gas/diesel cans sliding around. Look at it closely to see how it is secured. The horizontal boards are removable. Notice I also have a rubber bed mat (from Ford).

Wow I like how you used the round holes on the cleats and a spring pin to secure that. I thought of doing something like this but the stroller that we have is a bit larger than the space this makes between the divider and the tailgate

Since I took those photos. I added slots cut into the bottom board that will accept a short board that will reach the tailgate. That way I can section off for smaller items. I don't know if I explained that correctly. I'm not a rocket surgeon.

Congratulations! Now ditch that drop in nonsense and get a BedRug. You and your family will love it ?

Even if you don't want to remove the liner, Bedrug makes a floor mat that should be less slippery than the straight liner. It still won't keep stuff from shifting around if you drive really aggressively, but as long as you're reasonably gentle, stuff will probably stay put.

Those plastic drop in liners are a pain in the ass. If you're gonna be hauling groceries and similar a lot I'd recommend getting a Bed Rug or at least the rubber floor mat, then adding either a bed extender, or like what I did with a couple totes and a ratcheting cargo bar to keep them at the back of the bed.

Yea I was planning on getting a cargo bar and then using a bungee cord connected to the low rear bed tie down to secure the stroller.

The cargo bar should still work with the drop in liner, just might have to put a little more crank on it.

Drop in haters
They have their plusses. I prefer to be able to slide heavy stuff around.
Don’t care if some paint gets rubbed off
Does not take long to remove and recover squirrel treasures every few years.
Plenty of shock absorbing to limit dents from dropped or tipped items.
Easily hoses out and still looks pretty decent even after 10 yrs of of use.
