My recommendation as I have put in my documentation is to message Jesse directly and purchase an IPMA from him. He will make sure you get the right one, PMI it, and load the as builts needed based on your VIN. He will test it on his bench and verify it works properly. I had multiple issues and he was super helpful during the process even sent another IPMA to try and it ended up being that I ordered the wrong front cam.

If you want to go the route of finding a used one you will need to ask him or someone that has done that. You are taking a gamble, and then you will still need to change the as builts correctly. Some people have messaged me after buying IPMA’s and couldn’t PMI them and had to send them off to Jesse anyways.
Actually I am in Canada and don't know if getting an IPMA from Jesse would be financially viable. Ill wait for @nvabill to respond if he has got it working with just the as build data transfer.

On the other hand I have a set of XLT 360 + BLIS mirrors available for $350 and wondering if I would be able to transfer the power fold motors from my lariat mirrors. Any idea about that or should I just look for Lariat mirrors with 360 which are all above $700?

Just asking for the same above-asked query, as far as IPMA has the connecter for the 360 camera we can pick any IPMA part number? If O am buying this used do I simply upload my as built and then the changes?
I honestly can’t give you a good answer on that. I gambled on a used one based on what it was installed in and it worked out for me, not sure if it would again.

I guess I'll give ML3T14G647NA a try as well, when everything is here with me. If it doesn't I can return it as ebay seller has 30 day return.

Could you clear one questions while we at it, if there is that dummy wire on my grill, I simply add the small jumper from camera to grill & then the preinstalled wire runs to the under hood near driver plug ? I only need to run a wire from IPMA to that connector right? no need for CCA then.

Oh, and as far as the IPMA I never programmed it as it was already programmed on the original truck it was installed on. I could not program it as built on my truck as I never had the camera from the factory.

As for the front camera wire yes, you install a jumper from the front emblem camera to the wire already installed. As for the under hood connection I can't remember if you need 1 or 2 wires to get it to the IPMA. But, it is all in the instructions previously posted, just go review them and you should be ok. It has been quite a while since I did it so my memory is not crystal clear on everything.

Wait.. so you did not even upload your as-built to the module ? It was just plug and play for you. No changes nothing via forscan ?

For mine I rebuilt my mirrors with a couple broken 360 mirrors. It is possible to do it you just need to get the different caps and paint them to match your truck. The trickiest part is replacing the internal wiring harness and I am not sure it is possible to order it as the power fold part is sold as a unit.
Just got my hands on some XLT mirrors with cameras for this mod however, I want to transfer the cameras to my lariat mirrors to keep the power fold feature. @jhwalker could you guide me since you assembled yours where to start to open these up and work around, anything helps here ! Thanks.

The biggest issue is the caps (plastic shell on the outside of the mirror) - my lariat ones were painted to match the truck. The caps are different for the mirrors with cameras in them. If you want to use the black ones from the XLT (I am assuming they are not painted or don't match your truck), then what you'll need to do is take the camera, the plastic mount the camera is in, the outside caps, and the wiring harness and transfer them to your existing mirrors. The problem will be the connections for your power fold motors. I don't believe the XLT mirrors will have those connections. The easiest route would be to take the coax from the XLT wiring harness and add that to your existing mirror wiring harness (or add the power fold connector to the XLT harness(es)). There is a rubber gasket that the wires run through that you will have to cut to get the coax through it as the connectors will be too big to get through it. If you want to go through with this let me know and I will send more detailed instructions. Also, I don't think you can retrofit the power fold motors into the XLT mirror mechanism (but I haven't tried that, I used broken power fold mirrors as doners).

Just checked my lariat mirrors and you are right, the caps are single pieces, and won't be able to swap the camera plastic trim over.
Such a bummer! I guess there's no use for the mirrors then as not only they are non-painted but I would lose the auto fold feature too.
Right now doesn't seem any other way than just grabbing some lariat mirrors. Might have to relist these $350 paper weights now. ?
Would it make sense to buy new mirror caps from Ford with the camera cutout? wonder if they come painted and would be a better financial decision. If you have any suggestions please do share.

Platinum, KR, or Limited will work as well since they have power fold. However, they also come with chrome caps typically. You can order the caps (I believe they were around $80 a piece from Ford but you may be able to get a discount). They are unpainted and you would need to get someone to get that done (was $300 or so from ebay). You have to watch on ebay as it looks like you can buy the caps pretty easy but they are just stick on shells over your existing caps and they don't always point out that they are not the camera versions. Don't know what your trim is like (black vs chrome) mine has the BP and I considered using the XLT caps but ended up painting them myself.

Also, if you are looking at an IPMA, I would go with the "NA" version. I have both "FS" and "NA" and I think the FS is from a Raptor. It will not work with autopark or the extra sensors. From what I can find it looks like the NAs are from Platinums or Limiteds.

Big Thanks on the IPMA info. I have a NA on order too. Read the other thread and saw @Jesse-Infotainment mentioning that the NA is most versatile with all features and chips.

I have a base 501 with sports package, and I was thinking the same - putting the xlt cap and camera to the Lariat power fold base(that should work out right ?) and later on paint them or stick on a chrome trim. Its for sure alot of work and I haven’t opened up a mirror ever before.
Looked on youtube and found out taking the mirror out is all about later it’s just some bolts and all.

I have some chrome full optioned mirrors listed around me but are asking $1000 and am not ready for that.

Plus the front cam is expensive too, nothing on ebay less than $300 shipped to Canada.

Pretty standard that the fully optioned mirrors are around $1000. I think your cap approach should work (you can get the stick on chrome for pretty reasonable). I'll send you the steps for disassembling the mirrors as they are mostly installed as a unit.

For the front camera read Tlusk7s posting and write ups. The more expensive camera is for the Lightning and didn't work with my truck (just displayed a blue screen on any of the IPMA ports and I tried two so I don't think it was the camera). I used the bb/bc version (I'll have to look up the part number. If you want I have an extra I can get to you that you can test with).

However, I am still working on mine (along with a number of other projects for it) but after all the work I can't get it to switch off of the rear camera. So I am still testing Forscan settings and camera configurations. All of my cameras display if I switch them to the rear port (on either IPMA - the FS or my original). @Tlusk7 may have gone through this with @Jesse-Infotainment.
