Heated steering wheel has a small cold spot, is this normal?

My 2022 with the factory heated steering wheel has a very small cold spot. It is right where the seam meets at the lower right side (see picture).

Is this where the element starts and ends? Or is this something worth bringing in to the dealer since I still have a full warranty.

I'll admit it's not a huge deal, the cold spot is probably even smaller than the circle I drew, but it is noticeable compared to the left side at the exact same spot.

I will check mine to see if it has the same cold spot. I notice that you have the temperature display knobs. Did you add these or did they come standard? I thought they were not available for MY22. My Platinum is a job 2 and did not come with them.

Just ripped open the dash of a $75k truck with less than 1,000 miles on it. No big deal. LOL, it was a little nerve wracking.

Early MY22 Job1 trucks came with everything. I was lucky and have no deletes on my early Feb 22 build.

The deletes on my truck were Auto Stop/Start (no loss), Multicontour seats, and Max Recline. I really wanted the seats but ended up with Lariat seats when Ford supply chain issues kicked in.

I checked the steering wheel and the seams warmed up. The top of the wheel seemed to get hotter then the other sections l.

Thanks for checking. I worry that trying to get it fixed will be more of a headache than it's worth.

Im wondering if they'd open it up and replace the elements, which I wouldn't want. Or just replace the whole steering wheel, which I'd be good with but I kind of don't see them offering me that, since it basically works.

I think the wheel replacement is what would happen. Less time and cost.

Confirmed i have the same very slim cold spot, it's probably where the element ends in the wheel

Ah ha. I kind thought this might be the case, since obviously they need to start and stop somewhere.

So either they just didn't fully complete the circle or the element at the very end is broke.
Hmmm, now what to do or not to do.
