Mileage? We drive bricks down the road. :)

I did lose I think 0.5 MPG removing the stuck active air dam but I still get 20 MPG in city driving with my 2.7 motor.
My piggyBoost can get 22mpg on trips with speeds ranging from 65 to 90 mph, with working air dam. Curious if it's really doing that much.

Not too difficult to remove both and test. Probably the best option versus people on forum that won't drive the same as you do. :)

I'm thinking of removing my remaining fixed air dam to see if I like the look better.

True, but we're creatures of habit. Curious if anyone has paid any attention to theirs pre-post. A lot of responses will be anecdotal but if there were a clear hit I'd think someone would notice. Can't know w/ out asking.

Like my tire test loop I did. Kept all variables the same but the tires. Wasn't really interested in the anecdotal. It's like exhaust that causes a drop in mileage, which it really doesn't, the driver just tends to get into it more to hear it.

I think the Raptor/Tremor skid plate swap thread has a few posts on mileage. Many there started using the new kit because it is less than the original parts.

Actually had a thought with the job 1 trucks. Brackets from last gen Raptor might work. I think skid plate is same. Need to research.

Anyone do any mileage tests pre/post removing the air dam?
I keep track of my mileage with Fuelly so I should be able to see a down trend. My current mileage would be a couple of MPG better but I've been hauling a small travel trailer pretty regular this summer.

I didn't see anything in the directions that indicate it wouldn't. I attached a copy of the directions so you can take a look.

If someone wants to buy me a kit I will install it on my job1 PowerBoost made in May 2021. I will document all changes and design some brackets if needed.

Have you looked at your frame holes?

I have a May 2021 job 1 build and appear to have correct frame hole spacing. I do have a bracket for intercooler occupying the holes though on my 2.7 truck.

Today I finished installing this kit on my Rattler. No real surprises but it did take most of the day. If you're mechanically inclined the instructions found online from Ford will work. The grill and bumper have to come off. The mounts on the inside of the bumper have to be removed and the fog lights if you have them. This is so you can remove and install stuff on the bumper. Overall not a bad job and I really like how it looks. Now I don't have to worry about tearing off that air dam.

Did you paint the new plastic trim above skid plate or is that the unpainted color?
