But it is faster- more than half a second in the 1/4 vs the 3.5- documented in several places if you want to look- if you care about such things.

I’m able to option the BAP in black, rapid red and antimatter blue- so maybe it’s glitching somewhat.
I was able to option an XLT BAP in Avalanche as well

My 3.5 ran 13.6 @ 100 on 88 octane. Powerboost is at best, matching that. They're not faster. They have more power but weigh more. The mpg are at best 1 mpg better. My current average has been 20.5 that's mixed 50/50.

All I'm missing is a higher potential for issues.

Is it possible to order a platinum without chrome on the grill and badges? In other words, platinum with BAP type of appearance?
If you order a standard Platinum that is basically all you can get this year:

Yep. 5.0 trucks also regularly run 13.8-13.9 bone stock on E-85. The PowerBoost has a lot of grunt but also has extra weight that grunt needs to carry. Most 3.5 and 5.0 trucks would surprise a lot of overconfident PB owners in the 1/4 mile. MotorTrend and the real world are starkly different. They don’t even tell you what fuel they run, there is a 30 horsepower spread at the wheel between 87 and E-85 on the 5.0 stock, not sure what the EcoBoost is but I’m sure it’s a spread too. All it takes is fuel to skew numbers.

well sh*t.. Ram, GMC, Chevy and Toyota better not be following Ford's and or BMW's foot steps!
I mean, you do the same paying for the option when you order. This is just post paying. Everybody gets the option, even if you buy it used and the person before you didn't pay for it.

And It's really only a matter for XLT, since Lariat and up it's fully activated as it comes.

Yeah and worse yet, the XLT dropped the column shifter. Jackasses indeed.

I do love me a column shifter. I'd trade my console mount for a column in a second. I'm odd like that but I'd rather have the center console real estate for everything else.

Why tf do we know what the quarter mile time is? Who TF is running these on a damn track?

A stripped down 5.0 XL rcsb might be fastest if it wasn't for the 2.7.

2.7 is the slowest of the 3 motors in the 1/4 according to all the automotive outlets. It goes right in order actually, 3.5 is fastest, 5.0 is second fastest, 2.7 comes in 3rd. That’s Car and Driver and MotorTrend as well as MotorWeek results. Pretty unanimous.

I stand corrected on the half second better in the 1/4; the 2 articles and 1 video were all between 0.1-0.2 seconds better (and 1-2 mph) - but all in favor of the Powerboost. However, I believe C&D did note the same 1/4 mile time but higher trap speed for the PB.

Admittedly very close and not worth arguing over I don’t think. A 14 second 1/4 isn’t worth bragging about in any event…. But, the Powerboost pulls hard up top on the 3.5 in this video- no matter the driver- from a dig - or rolling start:

We just got out of our '17 and into a '21 PB, so we aren't even in the market for considering these changes/upgrades, but I like to play with the configurators.

I've always like the look of KR and for sh*ts and giggles configured one. At 79k with PB engine (literally only option I've added), this disturbing thing caught my eye:

So I clicked on it:

I don't think these are blind spot cameras like Hyundai/Kia has upon turn signal activation. This is part of the normal views you get with a 360 now, isn't it?

I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm right, we're here yo. Subscription for camera views.
I thought manufacturers learned their lesson when BWM got crap for heated seats subscription?
Every truck from the XL to the Platinum Plus will be equipped with the 14” screen. There are no longer smaller screens available. In addition, every truck will be equipped with the 360 degree cameras, HOWEVER, not every truck will have them activated. In other words, if you didn’t want the 360 degree cameras at purchase, you will be able to activate them later for a fee. It will be interesting what forscan can turn on. I remember gen 13 trucks without hill decent control being added by forscan and purchasing/installing button on dash.

PB is only dethroned by the raptor R with its blown v8. This is long settled :ROFLMAO:

Well I ordered an ARE topper ealier this summer. I said I was going to wait until the 2024's came out to see if they "corrected" IMO a couple of issues to see if maybe making an early trade would be in my cards. Glad I did not wait.

After seeing the 2024 info posted I feel a lot better about my 2022 502a PB. It does drive like a dream and I think I will be keeping this like I have all my other trucks, over 10 years.

The video for the F-250 HUD looked very nice if you do off road or rock crawling but other than that, the info looked rudimentary. Maybe there is more to it or more that could be added with updates, but nothing special IMHO. Pity.

This did help me feel a lot better about my decision in the middle of the covid crunch to order a 2022. 2024's do look nice, but not something to replace a 2022 with, IMHO.

where do you see that the 360 camera is subscription based?? The truck I just built up shows the camera and I can't find anything for subscription other than the Blue Cruise option.
