Looks like they also clipped the right rear of the black F150. The flying Spongebob was hilarious...............probably not so much to you though.

Stupid people playing stupid games sometimes earn other people stupid prizes. In this case, a stupid person not paying attention to the road in front of him caused a freeway incident resulting in me slamming into him, and then into the retaining wall. The 6500 pound trailered pit I was pulling is the only thing that kept me from going over that retaining wall and into oncoming traffic. I survived. My baby...not so much. Homeboy (stupid person) was uninsured, so now my insurance company is trying to decide if this is a total loss or whether they can rebuild it. 14 days into this ordeal and we are not being very Progressive (hint hint). I freaking loved this truck. And am fairly certain she's totaled (as is the collision center manager).

If you don't have a 2ch dash cam then you need to install one post-haste. Leaving aside the witness statements, the dash cam provided irrefutable proof of what happened and who was at fault. Also, why is it not an arrestable offense in Texas to drive without insurance?

Wow I hate that for you man. I also hate that you have to deal with insurance companies that want to "dance" around .I live in SC and they dont arrest anyone hetre without insurance. I think if youre driveing without insurance, car should be impounded and a trip to jail for the sorry%^&** that knowingly drive without insurance. Good luck pal.

Sorry that happened to you. Your F150 did its job and sacrificed itself to protect you. Glad you came out unscathed.
Hope this puts a smile on your face for a second....

bwahaha @snapper9601 . That's accurate af.

And yes, that truck did a fine job of protecting me from significant injury. Some soft tissue stuff and something going on with a knee that will require further diagnosis/treatment. But I'm alive and breathing.

Progressive sucks. Ask me how i know lol. Sorry that happened to you. Hopefully they will get you straight and fast. My last truck got hit three times in one night by the same person. On video. No DL and no insurance. A month later she ran into my bike. Texas doesn't care as long as someone like you and I are financially responsible.

Did the airbags deploy? That's a guarantee total.... (usually).

Glad you are okay and sorry for your loss. I think it can get repaired with just changing some things like fender bumper light. People often play games without considering how much cars mean to others. what to do with these type of people!

This thread sold me on the dash cam idea.

That show motion video with SpongeBob would go viral on Facebook or YouTube.

It dawned me recently on how much damage is done to the fronts of vehicles now versus the days of a steel bumper protecting the front. The price of headlights alone can bring tears to our eyes. I think a good investment is a front bumper guard for $650+ .

Did not. I apparently "missed" all the sensors during the collision.

I still remember insurance company backed federally mandated 5mph bumpers to save insurance companies money.
Made the cars look like crap, but held from 73 well into the 80s/early 90s

Has insurance made a decision yet?

Sucks to lose your ride over idiots and I hope you get decent value if they decide to total it.
