I find this extremely humorous because I probably have the information I need but I lack the ability to understand what exactly I’m looking at ?‍♂?‍♂? I believe I’ll be making my way to my local automotive wiring facility soon ? I’ve been defeated I know the answer I’m seeking is in front of me ? Thank you again for taking the time explaining a few things to me ?✌?

Yes I was just testing where exactly I needed to tap into to get everything to function correctly before making everything permanently. I realize most of you are going for the OEM look . I was just trying to go the easier route. Find the correct overhead console as well as the upfitter relay box build my own wire harness from over head console to relay box. The only things are illumination to console and the 2 fused locations for switches 1-4 and switches 5-6. I believe my issue is I’m tapping into the wrong location at the overhead console for illumination & Acc I’ve found the previous images on another forum of someone that did the exact install I’m attempting to do on a 2022 without issue. The problem is he didn’t specify where exactly he got illumination and Acc at the overhead console other than the wiring diagram he posted for others to use. And he hasn’t responded to any messages ?‍♂. Iv even messaged Boosted’s IG page to see if he’d be interested in writing up a installation manual on doing the way I’m attempting since it’s the way he designed the first gen harness back in 2018. I’d be willing to pay well for it $ But I won’t hold my breath on waiting for a response from Boosted seems like he likes everything to be OEM I guess Thanks again for your guidance on this ???

Correct me if I’m wrong as I don’t know much about this stuff but it seems tapping a fuse and pinning a BCM connector would be vastly different. I wouldn’t mind tapping and fuse but I wouldn’t go pinning a BCM connector in any spot
You are correct. Pinning at a connector is WAY different than tapping a fuse.

The last couple weeks have been a blur. Between work and moving into a new house it’s been a lot of going on and honestly I’ve forgotten about even needing to get to this. I have to take my truck in the 24th due to a leak somewhere overhead. I think my windshield has a bad seal because when it rains I get water dripping from the mirror and it’s not the sunroof as that barely was even wet.

Anyway, did anyone ever actually get the “thank you” email where we were supposed to get something to be worth our while for waiting? Or is that another missed item? I never heard anything aside from the instructions.

I've been the same way, so busy with moving.

I never received the "thank you" email either.

Finished installing the upfitter switch harness from boostedgreygoose yesterday. It's definitely a bit involved but not the worst thing in the world. When passing the harness through the grommet I chose to depin the wires so I could avoid cutting a slit in the grommet. I didn't want to damage it more than I had to. After scraping the glue off the grommet I applied permatex clear rtv silicone. A quick note, I had to file the opening on the fuse/relay mount by a few millimeters because it wasn't big enough for the box to latch on correctly. In the photo it shows a before (left) and after (right) filing it. To get to the sccm connector you need to remove the two trim panels from below the column shroud. Start with the lower skinny one. There are clips at the top corners of it, pull and swing the trim down (it's on a plastic hinge). Remove the screws and then go for the larger panel directly underneath the column shroud. Remove the 3 bolts from the shroud. The front two are easy to get to but the third one is a pain. I had to use a swivel socket adapter to get it out. From there you can separate the two pieces of the shroud. All you need to do is pull the lower portion down far enough to get to the connector. Everything else is pretty clearly defined in the instructions but these are the few things I wanted to make everyone aware of.

I didn’t see the email. Thanks for the heads up! Ordered the kit. I’m happy to pay full price for the kit given the work he’s put into this kit.

I look forward to getting it and going through the install.
