VIN lookup request: 1FT8W3BT6NEF45060

Truck was in to the dealer last week to have them do FDRS updates with issues with the WACM, HVAC and the heated/cooled seats not working on remote startup. Tech told me he did everything that was needing update in FDRS. Can you verify?

Thanks I appreciate you guys help.

Haven't seen any updates on my 21 XLT PB since early May when I got 4.2.4. Seems I should be getting the 4.3.x series by now. Would someone be able to have a look? 1FTFW1ED4MFC14969

Thanks!

Thanks Guys...Confirmed what they told me. That is a good indication that I can trust these guys. I do appreciate that you can keep us up to date and sorry for the confusion on the F350 SD. Have a great day

It has not been sent to your truck yet. I'm sure you'll get it sooner than later. You get nothing new out of the 4.3.x updates, so no need for FOMO yet.

Thanks, and wow!

So I'm a rookie at interpreting FDRS output. I've been avoiding doing manual updates on my truck because I already have enough devices in my life I need to monitor for SW updates.

All these updates have the green "cell signal" bars next to them. Does that mean I can expect them to be delivered OTA eventually?

Congrats on the new truck and welcome to the OTA fiasco. The good news is, your truck being a 2022 was built will all the older software that 2021 owners had/have difficulty getting. There is no way to trigger an update. Anything you find online or on youtube is a fallacy. The last OTA your truck recorded was in October of last year. Because OTA history in PTS is only recorded for 60 days (sometimes longer for unknown reasons), I cannot see what update that was, but based on that time frame, it was most likely 3.5.2 which means the next OTA you get would give you full-screen capability. All you can do is wait for the OTA gods to shine on you and hope that when the OTA is sent, that it installs. I say that because that particular update has been reported to be problematic to install successfully by many owners.
3.5.2 hit this morning so now I’m hoping the next few updates flood in lol

I'm no pro but as far as I know you or a dealer have to download & install these updates.
I've done my truck twice in 3yrs. The first time was 15hrs over 2 days & this last one (I only had 4) took me a couple hrs.
It was well worth the cost of the equipment to NOT have to take it to a dealer. On top of that, I've always reached out to @Jesse-Infotainment before I do anything. He's the man that knows this inside & out.

Hello!

I had the Sync module replaced several months ago and was told to finish the updates at home via Wifi. I have never received an OTA, which is what led me to the dealer for a replacement in the first place.

I find it odd that my sync says “saved f-150” in the screen when I start the truck now.

Either way, looking for OTA information.

Thanks for the help!

Last OTA you got was 4.2.4 on 5/11. As far as OTA's go, your truck is up to date.

The dealer ran an APIM configuration procedure on your APIM yesterday. However, they never ran the PMI procedure on it and your truck is still showing Sync 20301. Post a pic of your "about sync" screen in your settings so that @Jesse-Infotainment can check and see if your APIM is properly configured to your truck or not. If he does not respond here, I would PM him the pic and ask him if they did it correctly.
Lead tech is saying the updates are not going through and they think it needs a new apim but need to run a zillion more test before they can order. A

Lead tech says the updates won't take. He said he thinks it needs a new apim (we all know it does) but he said he needs to run a zillion more tests in order for it to be covered under warranty. Going on more than 2 weeks now. Paid a fortune for my truck. Doesn't seem right

No, that’s not what it means. There is no integration between FDRS and Ford’s OTA system. The cell bars are just an indicator to let the tech know that an active connection to the network is required to run the tool. Some tools—not the ones in your list—can be downloaded to the laptop and run offline.

Well that sucks...
