Possible. Oil does smell like gas but being GDI I don’t think much of it. 99% of trips are 7-8 miles or more one way so 15-20 round trip

I was really hoping the video would so some more in-depth investigation on the impacts. It’s nice to see visually but what exactly is the immediate impact of the aeration and how long does it take for damage to really cause issues.

Not trying to argue, but why can’t it be pulled from a slightly loosened plug?

I don’t have a way to extract the oil from the top end so I would need to loosen the plug and let a little out. Any ideas how much to let out to start? I made an appointment for tomorrow at the incompetent dealer just in case doing it myself is a bad idea.

It took 4-5 tries and wipes to get an accurate reading like that. Earlier ones made it look like it was above the twist in the dip stick. It was pretty consistent after.
