Installed Tuxmats a couple of weeks ago. So this is for anyone that lives in Florida, or along the gulf coast, I do not really like the Tuxmats that much. I bought them and the fit, finish, coverage, etc etc are fantastic, BUT.... with the older carpet style mats it hides all the sand for a long time before you have to pull them, bang them around to get the sand out and throw them back in. With the Tuxmats, well there is no place for the sand to go but to sit there. So from day one there is always sand present on the mat. Just a thought for anyone looking as no one mentioned this. I'll keep them in for now but I am finding myself vacuuming a lot more.

I'm far from sand so they sound perfect.
I will say though my weather tech in the old truck had bits of gravel and whatever. Not too worried about it, it's a truck after all. I just hate trying to clean carpet in any vehicle especially pet hair that makes it into vehicles even when pets never do.

Hadn't thought of that- but good point, and now that you mention it- I am having that problem as well (though just the driver's side).

Dang, I was about to make the switch from husky’s to tux mats! But now you have me second guessing.

I installed Ford's 21+ lowering shackles. It was surprisingly easy to do. While it did lower the truck, visually I don't think there's a night and day difference. I'd rather have a 2" drop, but I would like to see some exact detail on cutting the bed support first. Anyhow, it's a job done. I'm a happy camper.

It looks the same to me! The 45 degree fitting goes to intake side 90 degree fitting goes to manifold side.
Sorry I was referring to where they connect to the catch can. The first pic is from J&L and the second shows how yours appears to be connected. I doubt it makes any difference but thought I would point it out.

Hmm, mine is from last gen. Picked it up off the other forum. The guy said the lines were shortened to fit the 5.0 cleaner. They just barely reached so I had to play with it a bit!

I guess that means the way the oil is passing through the can is opposite of yours?

Yeah the flow through your catch can is opposite of mine but can't say if it really matters. If I were a betting man, I would say it would work either way but maybe contact the guys at J&L and see what they say. They were very responsive when I contacted them before and after I purchased mine.

You could always just take the two screws out and rotate 180deg and reinstall...that would fix any orientation problems. I the IN/OUT should be labeled on the cap somewhere...

Found an issue with the Tuxmat. When driving spirited in the backroads on the way to work, my work bag was sliding side to side. Might cut up or use the old mats on top of the Tuxmat.

Unless one of you have another recommendation? Not driving spirited would not be an option :ROFLMAO:

How does it look farther away?

I know anything is better than the half done factory paint.
