Hi all. First of all, thanks for all the helpful info here, such a great community!
I'm 4 weeks into owning a '21 F-150 Lariat 2.7 EB - Love the truck!
Noticed the Power Up version was 2.7.3 and the Sync 4 Software version was 22177 - seemed out of date, as I'm seeing it's now in the 4.2's. (Also found that the 22177 meant it was from June 26, 2022) Googled... Ford's OTA is horrible disaster pretty much... blah blah blah.
Saw the path to redemption - FDRS + Mongoose...I'm in.
got the Mongoose, FDRS Software, 2 day pass - good to go. Get configured, start updating, things going too good. About a dozen updates completed, no issues. One I had to do the CAN way(?) as it would recognize the USB drive, but would never popup the starting install screen, after waiting over half an hour twice. the CAN method took about 6 hours (think it was for the ICM or ACM, can't remember exactly?)
Solid day, pretty happy, down to the last update - GWM
I run the update, plug in the USB, download fails. try it again, and again and again - fails. It asked again like the other one if I want to do it the CAN way - this will take an hour instead of 6, I say heck yeah....it fails.
I've probably tried 20+ tries, recycled the truck, the laptop, unplugged/replugged the mongoose - no luck. Gigabit connection, router nearby, don't think it's a network issue.
the file that keeps failing is MU5T-14H394-AAL
Wondered if anyone might have a suggestion on a way to get past this?
My VIN is 1FTEW1EPXMFB81708
Still so new to this, so I don't know if there is more info that I can provide that would be helpful?
Sorry for writing a mini-novel, I like to give as many details as I can.
Thanks for reading
