I finally got around to clearing the codes using FORScan, but the GWM DTC remains and won't go away. It says: Malfunction indicator lamp is off for this DTC. Module: Gateway Module A Code U2100.
The dealer presumably replaced the Gateway Module based on the fact that they ran a PMI procedure in January. Does this code indicate a defective module, or is the PMI the problem? I might note that this truck has never received an OTA update and is stuck in the 2021 software purgatory. Should I bring it back to the dealer, or is the Mongoose route the only option to "unfreeze" the APIM?
