Just installed the 4.2.1 GWM update in my 2021 with FDRS. No APIM available yet.

You can enable (or disable) the off road screen on the APIM in Forscan fairly easily. It's the IOD options on the APIM sheet. I customized mine previously to only keep what I want, but they've been reset with the last APIM updates. I still need to go back after the 3.5.3 and make them what I want again.

Wonder if that’s where I can get the Alexa feature back? I don’t know what and IOD option is but I might be able to figure it out.

So once you loose Securalert does it ever come back according to FordPass agent it would with updates?
I have not had it since 9/2022 they claim I did a reset or something ?

It's questionable as to whether secrialert we ever be back on our trucks there's a large thead on this and no one has received a solid answer from Ford.

In the Forscan spreadsheet, the IOD card settings are under 7D0-01-03 and is also under 7D0-01-04. You need to decipher the coding for what you do/don't want. I'm not sure about Alexa.

@bryce600rr . You will also need to install the VCI Software or it will throw an error when you try to connect. Also, take a look at TSB 23-2122, recently posted on Ford.com. Although it is a newly revised procedure for activating/updating BlueCruise, it contains good general tips for updating the GWM, APIM and TCU. The TSB is available under your on-line vehicle profile under Technical Service Info.

Yes, that is the one I downloaded and had no issues.

OK, did that but how did you purchase the FDRS license? When I click on "Purchase Software License, it takes me to the IDS software licensing page where I created an account but there are no FDRS options. I'm lost....

I think is actually says like FDJS or something. If I’m not mistaken it’s the only $50 option (2days). It threw me for a loop too so don’t feel bad lol.

Finally warm enough to get this taken care of…lots of modules to update, let’s get this job 1 truck back on track.

Good thing the wife is out of town this weekend so I don’t have to deal with a honey do list as well.

Well, that was a . . . journey. It’s a good thing I had been following this thread enough to know that this could be a full weekend endeavor. With a Job1 truck that hadn’t received an update in almost a year I figured I had my hands full and I was right. Spent all day yesterday getting the initial modules updated and was stymied at the end with an IPC (I think) update that wouldn’t trigger via USB no matter what I tried.

I gave it one more try this morning and with no success went the canbus route which was successful but every bit of the 6 hours predicted. I had initially (foolishly) thought this was my only update left as it was the only one in the list. But after it finally completed I had multiple GWM and APIM updates to follow. Luckily for me the USB update process was now working as I had to use it 4 or 5 times. Unless they release a new APIM update tomorrow before my license expires I am done. For now.

Thanks to everyone here on the forum for all of the guidance and support here. It is greatly appreciated. My sister asked me if I could have just paid someone to do this for me and the answer is yes, I could have. But if they charged by the hour it would have been prohibitively expensive. Not to mention I’m not confident my dealership would have have been able to pull this off.
