I'll refrain from ranting about your dealership and "Ford Engineers" figured it out. 6 months?

It would make a fascinating reality TV show with scenes shot at the dealership service bay, and then cut to a contrasting scene with some fella sitting in his personal truck in the driveway. He has his phone reading a thread on this forum and a laptop plugged into his truck.

6 months at the dealership
6 hours in the driveway

Those aren't engineers. Lol

I was VERY hesitant to try it myself. I had just downloaded the USB from Jesse and was going to try it once I got my truck back. Not everyone is comfortable playing with a very expensive item that you could screw up.

I work from home and usually do not drive my truck during the week so my truck being at the dealership is not a big deal. It was only an issue for long trips that I do take often not to have Blue Cruise and lane centering.

Almost everyone on here has bashed the dealerships for giving up and not trying to solve the problem. Mine did not give up. Maybe this will help someone else who isn't comfortable with playing with their truck.

I don't think the bashing of dealerships on this forum is because they give up.

It's more because they often are either apathetic of the customers issues, or they are incredibly arrogant and can't be collaborated with in the least. They consider the customer as incapable of having a clue, and are immediately threatened if the customer attempts to offer suggestions.

Where to you find the version numbers?
Just got 3.5.2 today. Here's my progression so far:

12/22: 2.7.3
3/15/23: 2.7.4
3/22/23: 2.8.1
3/23/23: 22-PU0727-VI-FXB (Bluecruise enabled)
3/25/23: 22-PU0707-SCH-POPB
3/27/23: 3.5.2

I'm still curious about the ones listed on the (former) wiki page that I didn't get. Wondering if those are either skipped (and I'll get them later), or if they are rolled up into other updates somehow.

Starnge. 2.8.2 is the one than enables BC. You don't show getting that one or 2.8.3. Stange indeed.

Yep. @Txmade got the exact same sequence of me over the last couple weeks, and we've both confirmed BlueCruise is indeed enabled. The one thing I noticed is this in the message in FordPass. Not sure if that was always there but it indicates maybe they've tweaked 2.8.1 some?

It does leave me wondering if I still need to receive some of the ones that were skipped in the sequence, but right now hoping for 3.5.3 soon to get full screen CarPlay....

Another forum member gave me this list of SW updates I needed about 6 weeks ago. Should I expect some of these to be included in the updates I've gotten or are they separate? It would be interesting to check again.

2.7.3 and 2.74 are for the IPC, so that may be off the list now. 2.8.1 updates several modules including the IPMA, CMR, CCM and PSCM, so those may be off the list. Once the IPC update comes off, it will trigger either an APIM/GWM to appear on the list, too. You would need an updated list to confirm.

I know @Jesse-Infotainment mentioned something about the IPC updates being consolidated into one, but not the 2.8.1/2.8.2/2.8.3 updates being joined, but I guess it is possible. 22-PU0727-VI-FXB was reported to activate BC on the Mach E last September. So you and someone else got BC activated with that update and not 2.8.2? Interesting.

I got 3.5.2 on 3/27 as well.

@Txmade I have a kind of related question for you:
I've seen several posts from various people that show the "Trip 1/2" mileage on their 12" screen in one of the "Cards" on the right hand side. I don't have that card available. I assumed it would show up after an update (like the cargo camera card just did). Do you have that option?

I do not have have it, for some reason I do not think the powerboost has that and has to be activated in forscan.

so when I check “software details” in sync4 software tab there is no prior update history or pending updates listed. Not even the current update it is running. just says I am up to date.
is a trip to the dealer warranted?

That is how my truck looked when I bought it (used last October). It wasn't until I got my first update that I knew where I was. It seems (to me at least) that some Job 1 trucks (like mine) were behind just because Ford wasn't pushing updates to them for some reason. Others were behind because they had a technical issue like a bad APIM or some other issue. Posting your VIN on the other "Request VIN Lookup Thread" in this forum is probably the best idea to get a feel for what's going on. It seems likely that if you go to a dealer they'll likely tell you "its up to date" unless you have some data with you to argue otherwise. If you're truck is Bluecruise equipped and Bluecruise isn't enabled yet I'd pursue that route to demand that you get Bluecruise capability that was promised when the truck was sold by Ford.
