So my sales guy texted me today saying “2 more days” so I asked him if they had confirmation that the fix would be released and he said no. End of conversation. Either my dealership is just a bunch of morons or they know more then they are admitting to. Could easily be either of the two.

Wish I would have found this before I signed papers last Thursday. Before I signed dealer said it was just a wiper mode recall they had the part and would get it in asap. Fast forward a week now waiting on a “program update”. Was wondering why it was pulling teeth to let me test drive. I guess at least I got a loaner. . .

I’m in the same boat. Signed papers 3 weeks ago and after I signed the dealer tells me that I can’t take the truck and it should be ready the following week. Then the next week. Then this week. Ford has to do something about this. And the dealers hiding it from customers is unacceptable.

Yeah I've been waiting 3 weeks, but FYI you can always see what recalls your truck actually needs by going to: https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/vinLookup
That's how I knew my dealer fixed the wipers 2 weeks ago (because it disappeared from the recalls shown for me on that page) but hadn't been been able to fix the 22c22 one yet.

Same here but signed papers first week of January. Been a long wait.

I have no additional info but I can tell you from my experience, launching new software on a Friday is something you avoid at all costs, especially if the previous version bricked hardware and had to be pulled. So optimistically speaking, even if they just wrapped up the new code to push, I wouldn't push it today *either*.
Pessimistically, they are having a lot of trouble getting this fix to work and they don't know when/if it will be done and these estimates we keep hearing are BS/rumors.

I did at least actually get to test drive mine. As soon as I signed the papers though back in November that's when they "found out" it was on recall. Said it would be beginning of January and if not I could back out.... Unfortunately its the only Carbonized Grey 502A in the area so I will stick it out. Middle of March is getting ridiculous though considering not a peep from @Ford Motor Company.

It should be illegal to not disclose a recall that affects delivery, especially one they know they don't have a fix for.

For you gents in the same boat, what have you done about registration/insurance? In my state we have 7 days to register a new vehicle before fees start accruing. I really don't want to buy a $1500 tag for a vehicle that is sitting on the lot and I might not get.

If everything we have heard is just BS and rumours then Ford needs to say something, whether it’s good or bad. The lack of communication pisses me off more than anything.

Well if this is true it does kind of go along with @Richmaple 's comment about not releasing a software fix on a Friday. Am I just grasping at straws now?
