I apologize I hadn't updated the thread here, but I received delivery of my truck on Friday! This document on the NHTSA site has the service procedure documented, which I had not seen prior to today (presumably it was added once the fix was indeed released). Scroll about half-way down:
22C22 Dealer Bulletin.docx (nhtsa.gov)

My guess is that any dealer stating the fix is not yet available has somehow not seen this document?

Just spoke to my dealer who stated the fix was halted by ford on Friday. Still can’t pick my truck up. So disappointing.

I have a brand new '22 covered by this recall that they can't deliver to me because even though I've shown them the PDF submitted to NHTSA on the fix, my dealer says " the software update to the flicking tail lights is still pending, a new FSA(field Service Announcment) should come next week"

Which is either BS or means the previously identified fix doesn't work, or the actual software flash isn't available yet?
Anyone have real info?

Updating my own comment above.... I got my dealer to provide more info and it's the "hold" notice on the fix previously issued by Ford. Hopefully it's resolved soon. :oops:

I have also been waiting since November for a 22 with this recall. Checking this thread weekly. I sent the document that the_m4a posted (thank you) to the dealer who wasn't aware a fix had been released. They did look into it last week and said the same thing that the fix had been recalled.... Has anyone had luck since?

Thanks for letting us know. So infuriating when Ford said a correction was expected in the next few days and it's now been several *weeks* :(

Just so I know, you called your dealer or you called somebody at Ford? My dealer, sadly, is always a week or more behind any information I already have and has not been even remotely pro-active in asking their contacts at Ford about it.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully it’s true. I’m waiting on a 22 as well that’s sitting at the dealer just waiting for this fix so I can take delivery. Any more info you get as it comes out would be appreciated. My dealer isn’t very proactive and according to them nothing has been said since January so I know I’m going to have to inform them that the fix is available when it is.

I am assuming Ford fully pulled the fix from their Oasis system. The service tech I spoke to did say that they check the system each morning, but that doesn't mean they know about the current inventory waiting on the fix. With the week of March 13th coming up I do intend to call every other day. Will update if I hear anything.

I am assuming Ford fully pulled the fix from their Oasis system. I don’t know if my dealer actually contacted Ford or if they just told me this so I’d leave them alone but yesterday they said they heard that the fix would be released by the 17th. That’s basically inline with what you heard so fingers crossed. My truck has just been sitting in a storage lot waiting for a fix and they finally went and got it and brought it to the dealership and have it booked in to do the spray in liner on Monday. Seems like they are anticipating the fix to be released…

I hope so! I'm in the same boat with a purchased '22 I'm not allowed to take home. Thx for the updates, all.

Our service techs must hate our calls so first one to find out anything on the release of the new fix please post here asap please!

I was just told by the service manager at my dealer that they are HOPING to have the fix on Friday. He couldn’t, or wouldn’t, give me any other details but said they are optimistic that I’ll be able to take delivery on Saturday.
