Hey guys, fairly new here. I bought a 22 STX supercrew in December. When I was vacuuming it out last month I noticed the smaller seat bottom is about 1.5 inches lower that the other side. Ford does not know why it's like that and looking at adding a "pad" to see if that fixes it.

I was curious if anyone else has this issue?

Same here in my Platinum. It annoys the shit outta me. Ford's motto is "It's good enough."

That is just crazy to me! It may be I have to live with it because they seemed stumped. My thought is it is in the pivot point and where it stops. They are trying a pad so we will see. I appreciate your feedback, it helps me feel less crazy lol.

Well damn...now I have to go look at mine to see if its like this.
Me too. Mine does this. As the norm, I have my seats folded up so meh. It does the same whether the storage bin is up or down. It seems that the 60 side isn't going down as far vs the 40 side going down to far. With a little force the 60 side will go down further and level out (it won't stay down though), but the 40 side seems to be bottomed out.

I don't know, to me it looks like there's a problem with the foam under the upholstery on the low side.

My 22 Lariat is the same. In fact, I can't get the 60 side to lock down (it should require strap handle to fold back up).

I had my 60 (drivers) side down for maybe the first time afew weeks ago and it didn't require a strap pull to raise it back up. Are you certain it should? Manual shows the release strap to lower but doesn't show or mention it for raising.

The only way to lock the seat bottom down is with the key for those with the under-seat folding storage bin.

I could swear the 40 side requires it.

Ok, you made me look too. My 22 Platinum is the same way. Now I’ll notice it all the time. Thanks a lot?

The 40 on mine requires a strap pull. The 60 side does not.
I'll have to check mine. If this is correct I would bet its the reason the 60 side doesn't stay down. Missing hardware or hardware that doesn't latch?

I know mine doesn't sit perfectly flat either. Not terrible enough to bother me though.
