Tbh, I’m not sure it’ll come on much, if at all in Miami. I’ve never been there, only driven through, but it may not get dark enough for glare free to activate in most places

I window sticker does NOT list Park Assist Delete, which makes me wonder if I have it. I need my knee fixed and some warm weather so I can tinker more!

Mine is listed under the CoPilot350 Active 2.0 feature. Essentially BlueCruise. I think that is how I avoided the chip shortage delete on parking assist, because I added Blue Cruise.

If your sticker doesn’t look something like this, I doubt you have it.

You can order the truck fully loaded with every option, including Bluecruise, and still get Park Assist delete because of that chip missing.
It can literally be the ONLY delete on the truck.

I’m fully aware of that, which is why I’m saying if his window sticker doesn’t show it as existing, it probably doesn’t.

To further support this, I had ordered the Active Copilot package, which came with BlueCruise, Active Park Assist, and Front Sensors. The Park Assist portion was deleted at the factory, and the Image Processing Module (IMPA) was included with a missing chip. My window sticker reflected this delete.

I didn't think ordering Bluecruise gets you the chip necessarily.

Thanks, guys. I had to drop my daughter's friend off in the Miami equivalent to the suburbs and found some streets dark enough where I got to see them work. Completely nerded out and probably embarrassed my teenager in front of her friend. So they're working and it was hella cool.

Thanks to the all the tireless braniacs that make all these goodies available to us.

I am just saying I think that is how I got lucky. By adding the BlueCruise.

My main point is/was, if it’s not listed on the window sticker as existing somewhere, I highly doubt it exists even if it doesn’t list as deleted.

I have a job 1 XLT 302A. My window sticker lists “Dynamic Hitch Assist” under standard equipment / functional. I do not have Active Park assist listed or deleted. Pages 439 - 441 of the 2021 manual describes this function as “Trailer Hitching Assistance”. I’m hoping the Dynamic Hitch Assist listed on my window sticker means I have the chip or hardware needed. I’ll make the Forscan changes needed this week and see what happens

Pro Trailer Hitch Assist is a success on my truck.

Sequence of ops: Connect, make backups of the (3) modules. Perform mods as listed above. Reset APIM. Clear DTCs. Tested first with no hitch ball, didn’t like it. Installed my hitch ball, got the dreaded orange bottom on screen. Drove around block, tested again, success. I will try again in daylight with my trailer.

Ignore the weird looking lights above my hitch (I added clearance LED’s that show up in my rear cam views. Pic of what I’m talking about here.)

Truck specs: ‘22 502A w/scales, smart hitch, max tow, active park assist and pro trailer.

if it’s on your window sticker, you might not have to make any forscan changes. I would assume that they enabled it at the factory.

We cant call these a success until you actually use it to hitch to a trailer. Alot of people can get the screens to show up but the system will not work properly when trying to hitch.
