MY22 Adding SiriusXM

I'm having some bad luck with this.

I bought an ACM off ebay, antenna and splitter from From, did the forscan changes and tried to activated with SXM online.

It won't activate and now it appears to not be working at all anymore.

I had the preview channel working, then I restarted the truck to help activate the radio. Now i just get a SXM loading message when i try to use it. No preview channel or anything.

Has anyone else had this happen?

What exactly were the changes you made.

To Get past the Xm preview you will need to not just activate it but, call or chat on line to have Xm register the radio Id. Into their system. The dealer usually does this for you.

Did you go back in to see if the changes took. That your programming is how you set it?

What happens with the error message when you click on the settings button.

I did not do nav but that screen looks like it wants a settings change for the nav?

As to the XM service, I added the radio to my account, paid for the service and then chatted with support to attempt to fix it. No luck so far.

Have you tried a reset of the APIM and ACM in Forscan?

That happened to a truck I did this to. If I remember correctly I reset the APIM and sent a refresh signal from the Sirius website. Make sure to reset your connectivity settings and give it a few minutes.

Why did you switch out ACMs was your original not Xm already?

Which did you have and what did you install?

So I just notice today when changing the volume the volume changes but the number that pop up when changing the volume stays on zero. Anyone having this issue?

I didn't have XM at all in the truck before. My ACM did not have the plug or XM number printed on it. I had part ML3T-18K810-BJ in the truck before. I installed ML3T-18K810-CDH which has SXM.

My truck was pre wired for the antenna which I used to connect my new roof top antenna and splitter.

I have a single cab so yours may be different.

The basic steps were pull the coat hanger off, it is held on by a T20 Torx (if i remember it right). To see the torx you pry the tab from the top of the opening. Not the bottom.

Then i pulled the weather strip down for the door.

Next just gently pry the headliner away from the pillar trim.

After that it was just gently pull it down enough to see / access the bolt. Think it's a 10mm.

Remove and reinstall. Not bad, but a bit scary with the bending of the headliner.

(seach, POI, Weather information) Everything is greyed out and I get a prompt to activate navigation in ford pass but I don't have an option to do so. I know Infotainment is selling the built in nav kits so They must have found a way to activate navigation.

You may want to hav Ed a look over at this forum, I know it is a Ranger but there are similarities. Came across it when researching the f150 nav Xm delete.

You can't unfortunately per @Jesse-Infotainment. The VIN is pretty much hard coded if it has nav or not and thus connected to the TCU, so it has to be a change on Ford's side to enable those features which doesn't sound like you can. Jesse has a way to enable basic nav with destination entry but that it I believe.

The above post doesn't help much here as that is Sync 3 in that Bronco.

I am having the same issue. I noticed this right after I activated my SiriusXM radio and the screen showed "SiriusXM Updating" I also noticed that the screen in my center dash shows "Audio Off" when in fact the audio is turned on. It seems that there is an issue with the ACM communicating with the APIM. My guess is there is a software version mismatch.

Im not sure where to begin with troubleshooting this. :-(

You can set up the “basic” nav that way, but I’m not aware of any way to set up connected nav.

Need to know the specs of your truck and if you replaced the ACM. Did you run a PMI on the new module if it was replaced?
