Got Power-Up 3.5.4 Update: Advanced Dual Phone, Payload Limit Warning

Check your Fordpass messages to see what was the last OTA you got. Sometimes your touchscreen will tell you the last you you got if you check for updates. You having a 2022 would only have gotten 3.5.2 and now 3.5.3 and 3.5.4 that is rolling out.

I don't have any messages but I just got the truck last month so that's probably why. I see the Sync version from the truck screen (411) but I don't see anything on that screen that says 3.X.X. Also tried the update check but said no updates. It has Alexa so I assume that I have a somewhat later version...

So I just got this update today, I went to check out this scales function and I didn't see it, I looked in the manual and it mentioned where to find it and it wasn't there. I have a 502A Lariat, is this feature only on certain trucks? Nothing mentioned that it was only for certain equipment but I feel that must be the case

Not all trucks have the on-board scales. It was an option.

I have a 2021, full size Carplay is nice, though since the upgrades I've had a few times where CP doesn't connect. Tried deleting the phone and starting over, but seemed had to restart the car to get it to work.

I want the update., i am on 3.5.2 i find a lot of weird issue that i hope goes away with an update.

Not looking forward to warnings from the onboard scales.

I have a 2021, full size Carplay is nice, though since the upgrades I've had a few times where CP doesn't connect. Tried deleting the phone and starting over, but seemed had to restart the car to get it to work.

I’ve had the same CarPlay issue, and I always cross my fingers and see if my iPhone SE connects. Granted it’s not the fanciest of iPhones but it’s still *relatively* new. Truck is. 2021, June build 502A - Currently on 3.5.2. Really hoping new updates streamline CarPlay and remove the gremlins more than the full screen function

yeah, the reliability of it showing up every time is the most important factor, as Maps is heavily used. One factor is I have it using Bluetooth/wireless Carplay, whereas before only USB. But one time this happened Carplay was in use, seemed to crash and then would not start until the car was shut down.

I just open fordpass after 3.5.3 installed this afternoon. And was presented with 10 pages of terms and conditions to agree to before it would open!

I just got this and accepted it too. But I have no update 3.5.3 yet. Did you only have to click on accept one time right ?

Yes, click one time. I'm not sure the new terms have any correlation to me getting 3.5.3 yesterday. It's probably coincidence. The new Terms stated as of January 25th 2023..

Im clearly doing something wrong with this update. I have two iPhones, one for work and a personal phone. I have to pick one or the other to connect to CarPlay which I understand but the only way I can get phone audio for calls on the non CarPlay phone is to swap the CarPlay connection. I can’t figure out how to have CarPlay connected on one phone and make a call on the other. What am I doing wrong?

This came up in another thread, they both have to be connected via Bluetooth. As soon as one connects to CarPlay it kills the bluetooth connection.

I just updated to 3.5.4 from 3.5.3 this morning on my job 1 2021 Limited, I get the same thing, when in CarPlay and I try to connect both phones it shuts off CarPlay and then will connect 2 phones.
I have 2 cell phones and was looking forward to being able to use both phones on the trucks handsfree while traveling

Got it (again) today. Had previously updated with FDRS

FDRS is referring to the dealerships computers or can you do FDRS updates somehow at home like Forscan? I need to recalibrate my suspension sensors (via FDRS according the forums) but the dealership couldnt seem to be able to do it.

This thread should have all the information you need. There are too many pages/posts to read them all (for me and my ADD anyway), but poke around and take in as much as you can. Definitely start with the first post then ask any questions you have. The mongoose cable is the one you want.
