@Jesse-Infotainment any background/insight on why some trucks need different settings than those in the Forscan spreadsheet in order to get cameras in motion working? Should the spreadsheet be updated?

I had some spare time so I looked into the "Tilt mirrors on reverse" 720.2.1 bit 5. Turn out it does kind of work. Once you change bit 5 to whatever version you have with mirror tilt enabled "MRT" you then have to go into vehicle settings and into the Mirror subsection. There will now be an option for mirror tilt.

When I put the truck into reverse the drivers side mirror did tilt down nicely. Then it panned all the way "IN" so I was looking at the back door handle. Not sure what to do about that. Not even sure why there is a moment in that axis. Kinda strange.

I wanted to tackle the Oil Life today. There are 2 Oil Life settings, At least for the PowerBoosts. First there is the Primary Oil Life (720.5.1 bits 0 and 1) This is used to set the amount of Miles and timeframe. Then there is the secondary system that overrides the primary system if used. This system is only used for the 10000 mile / 1 year oil changes. (720.2.1 bit 1) I disabled the 10k, then set 720.5.1 to 5k / 6m Which is what I'm changing it at anyway. Its been an hour and FordPass hasn't updated, But the Oil Life on the truck has been reset. I'll just have to drive to know for sure. 50 Miles is 1% of my oil life. So depending on what increment of value its updates at, I may know next week.

Man, it feels empowering making FORScan changes.

I made a bunch of changes about 2 months ago and just fired it up again tonight to add 90% battery charge, cameras to come on with parking sensors, and 5blinks instead of 3.

Enable Cimate Bar at the bottom of Sync screen APIM 7D0-02-02 xxx* xxxx xx-- use 2 for non-hybrid or 6 for hybrid - requires Unreal theme above

Hey guys, I enabled the climate bar on my 21 lariat but I didn't really like it as it seems to interfere with the rest of the ui.

Is it ok if I go back into forscan apim and change the value from 2 back to 0 as it was before or should I restore the original and leave it?

If zero was the original value, restoring to original is the exact same thing as changing it back

I think it was 0, I'm not 100% sure. I remember I read somewhere that there's a website where you can download your original as-built datasheet but i cant seem to find it.

I guess the safe way is to restore the apim data and then re-enabled all the stuff i changed before.

Just note that your truck does update the cloud as-built data that you can get from the Motorcraft site. If it has only been a couple days since you made the change(s), it is unlikely to have updated, but the longer it has been, the more likely it is that it may have changed. So far I don't think anyone has figured out what triggers the upload.

The best thing to do is backup the module(s) as built data in Forscan before making any changes. You can then just restore that backup if you run into issues.

Exactly what I did right after I finished updating my truck with FDRS. I knew that it would flash back the original as-built modules so I backed up everything and then started tinkering.

Has anyone figured out how to get a notification or warning etc whenever the tailgate is down? I don't have the power tailgate option tho.

And also I found an option in forscan bcm of turning off the drl when a turn signal is on. I activated it but it didn't do anything. Has anyone figured that out?

You can always just read your backup file to see the original value.
Then you will know what to edit in Forscan without doing a restore.
