Thank you for this info. I took my truck for an oil change a few weeks ago and they said that they could now perform the update and looked at my crazy when I asked if the APIM came in that they said they ordered in October. They said I didn’t need one. Fast forward to this past Thursday and after I picked my truck up the OTA feature is still locked. I called and asked and they said when they hooked the truck up no updates were available to be performed. I’m tired of wasting my time going to the dealer for nothing to be done.No OTA history and you are on a very old Sync version. Whatever dealer you took it to at the end of October tried to update your APIM and it failed. They then tried to perform and module repair procedure on it several times but that failed, too. There is a note in there that indicates they called the Ford hotline and got a manual repair code from them. It is also listed in your VIN history that your truck was diagnosed with OTA failure issues and the parts were ordered which I assume is the APIM. You need to follow up with your service advisor to see if the APIM is there and have them swap it out.
I ordered a heated steering wheel kit from boosted and I don’t want to install any of it until this is squared away as I have a feeling they’ll blame the install as being the reason why I have a failed apim
