No OTA history and you are on a very old Sync version. Whatever dealer you took it to at the end of October tried to update your APIM and it failed. They then tried to perform and module repair procedure on it several times but that failed, too. There is a note in there that indicates they called the Ford hotline and got a manual repair code from them. It is also listed in your VIN history that your truck was diagnosed with OTA failure issues and the parts were ordered which I assume is the APIM. You need to follow up with your service advisor to see if the APIM is there and have them swap it out.

I thought they ordered in October, but actually it says they ordered it on a different visit back in March. They tried updating the APIM several times back then as well and again, it failed every time.

Call Ford customer service, open a case and have them call the dealer. That seems to be the only thing that may get you over the hurdle.

Or, do it yourself.

Could I get a status on my OTA. Have had the same story as others, multiple trips to dealers, failed update attempts, APIM replacement, etc. Only progress was making the scheduled updates unlocked but no OTAs received since.
No OTA history in the last 60 days. I see they replaced your APIM and did some minor module updates while they were in there, but they replaced your APIM a little over 2 weeks ago. That is not a lot of time. It could be you just haven't gotten anything sent to you OTA between now and the time they replaced your APIM.

You literally have 2.8.1 sitting in your queue right now. The OTA trigger was created less than two hours ago. Get your truck hooked up to a 10amp battery charger, check for updates on your touch screen, and initiate it. You truck will have to be parked and locked for about two hours while it updates. You can watch the progress bar on your touch screen as it installs. Avoid unlocking the truck or doing anything while it is installing. Good luck!
Thanks for this, good news! Got in the truck and did a "Check for Updates" but it said "Your up to date." :confused: But then about an hour later and a few starts and stop into driving around for the night, a BIG notification came up. Different than others saying it needed up to 145 minutes.

When I got home, I just locked up the truck for the night and let it rip. No need for a 10amp battery charger. I drive PowerBoost so I assumed it would have plenty of battery.

Next morning, both the truck and FordPass said "Success!" Awesome. However, none of the details for the update mentioned Blue Cruise. Just "Pro Trailer Backup Assist refinements." :confused:

However, I took it out on Interstate 75, which is fully Blue Cruise enabled, and for the first time ever, I saw the words "Blue Cruise enabled" on my dashboard. But, unfortunately it's not working. More details on this in my Blue Cruise thread.

Also my wireless CarPlay completely broke and took disconnecting and deleting my phone and doing a full reset and reconnect. Then it came back to life. That was a bummer for about a day. I thought it was broken in the update.

So long story short, the update was a success but Blue Cruise is still inoperable. Is there another update that could fix this? Would I be scheduled for another one now that this update completed?

Can someone check 1FTFW1CD5MFB75327? Tried the APIM update again in FDRS and still getting the code_0 error after it starts the update process off the USB in the truck.

Bluecruise will come in the next update which is 2.8.2.

To the other people looking to get their VIN checked, I'll do it tomorrow when I'm back in the office.

I've been on 3.5.2 since October 5th. Just was curious when I'd be getting the 3.5.3 and hopefully full screen Android auto so I guess OTA . I have a 21 so not sure if they are on hold or not when it comes to updates.

PTS is not working for me to check OTA statuses today. Not sure what is wrong with the website, but it hasn't been giving access to the OTA section all day. Even if it did work, we have no way of knowing when the OTA trigger will be created for your truck.

Hi all,

I have been lurking on these forums for a couple months after purchasing my new truck and found a lot of the information helpful. It started with full screen CarPlay and has now evolved into the dreaded map update for BC:

Anyways, figured I'd see if someone could check on my truck - I assume I'm completely up to date given the mfg date of my truck and that will mean the "hurry up and wait" option. I saw that Jessie was getting understandably a little burned out so didn't want to hit him with a request as a day 1 post 1 user.
