Awesome! I've been messing around with this for the past week trying to get it to work, trying to root an old phone to enable it, got it to enable and pop up, but that phone was sold old that AA kept crashing. Luckily I just got a new galaxy S22 the other day so it should have no issue with this now!

Always thought either of these updates individually wasn't a big deal, but together they would be awesome. Now that coolwalk is in beta and seems to be making progress, I'm really hoping for that 3.5.3 update soon.

I'm seeing similar comments on the Android Auto Reddit forum, The only reason I'm in the beta is because I signed up 6 years ago when It first went live. Sounds like it's pretty packed unfortunately. The good news is it's butter smooth and feels refined so I can't imagine they would delay at any further at this point.

There are a few APK mirror sites to download Beta versions of AA from and none of them show any AA version more recent than 11/9/2022. I have been checking daily and nothing since the 9th - version "8.5.1245 beta". Does anyone know another source for the Cool Walk APK Beta file(s)?

Keep in mind that just because you're running a beta version doesn't mean you are going to get the coolwalk ui. This is because it's a server side feature flag that Google needs to initiate. I've seen several users on the Reddit forum attempt to enable by side load ing the beta version without luck (still worth a try though). I can confirm that the latest Beta version is 8.5.124504
